  • The use of Loxicom in cats is controversial. It is not typically recommended to give Meloxicam to cats beyond one dose, if at all. Discuss your cat's needs with your veterinarian.
  • Serious, but rare, side effects of Meloxicam include ulcers and liver or kidney problems. These are more likely in cats. Contact your veterinarian immediately if you notice symptoms such as eating less than normal, vomiting, changes in bowel movements, changes in behavior or activity, weakness, seizures, aggression, jaundice, changes in drinking, or changes in urination.
