  • Meloxicam is a prescription nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces the pain and inflammation of osteoarthritis and other musculoskeletal disorders.

Why do dogs use Meloxidyl?

  • The use of Meloxidyl in cats is controversial. It is not typically recommended to give Meloxicam to cats beyond one dose, if at all. Discuss your cat's needs with your veterinarian.
  • Serious, but rare, side effects of Meloxicam include ulcers and liver or kidney problems. These are more likely in cats. Contact your veterinarian immediately if you notice symptoms such as eating less than normal, vomiting, changes in bowel movements, changes in behavior or activity, weakness, seizures, aggression, jaundice, changes in drinking, or changes in urination.
  • Store Meloxidyl out of reach of children and other pets.

How do you use Meloxidyl?
