This medication is keeping my boy alive!
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
The Vet prescribed this medication for our dog, after three Vets told us we he wasn't going to make it, or would have no quality of life, and that we should probably put him to sleep. The infection affected his heart. Hopefully he won't have to take it forever, but it is so tiny and is very easy for him to swallow. He doesn't give us any problems with it. Shipped super fast!!

Use Caution with All New Meds
Rated 1 out of 5 stars
There was no problem with service from VetRxDirect. They are efficient and helpful. The issue is with side effects from the medicine itself. The product is normally safe for dogs, but our 14-year old dog experienced some of the rare side effects: GI issues, changes in bowel movements (blackened feces), lethargy (probably because she knew "something" wasn't right), and seemingly weakened hind legs. I gave the product 1 star only to call attention to the fact that all new meds must be monitored carefully by the pet owner in partnership with a veterinarian---ask lots of questions. I am not a veterinarian and do not recommend against using pimobendan, but urge caution with any new meds.
