I will buy this product again and will buy it from VETRX

Our beagle hates the taste of these.
From RaleighComments about Denamarin TabletsI am so bummed but our dog spits this right out. In order to be able to use them up I'm resorting to dividing them in quarters and putting cheese around them. Our dog won't even take this in peanut butter. Thankfully for now she will take the regular Denamarin still with peanut butter. It is just more of a hassle so I was hoping the chewable a would have worked. -

Best price over our vet
From Mesa, AZComments about Denamarin TabletsThere was about a $20 difference in price over our vet. I have to cut the pills in half in order to give them to my dog. I plan to try the chewable version next time I order. -
Rx supplement for liver support
From Deale MarylandComments about Denamarin TabletsIt is difficult so say how much benefit my dog has from the Denamarin use. The drug Ursodiol was started at the same time - 4 months treatment so far. Both help the liver. My dachshund just turned 19, so that is something! -
Great product and will continue to use it!
From Harrisburg, NCComments about Denamarin TabletsRecommended by the vet for my older dog whose liver numbers were up. Those numbers have stabilized . And her heath is great for a 13 year old and her appetite and energy is good for a dog her age.-

Since the Denamarin tablets are unavailable, what are the inactive ingredients in the chewables? I can't find the information anywhere and it's important. Do they contain hydrolyzed flavoring as well? Thank you.?
-
According to the manufacturer, the company will not release the names of the inactive ingredients in order to prevent production of counterfeit products. The manufacturer verified that there is hydrolyzed chicken flavor in the Denamarin chewable tablets. Please consult your veterinarian regarding any further questions or concerns regarding this supplement.

My dog has been taking Denamarin tablets for the past 4 yrs. She has just recently started to vomit the tablet, up to 8 hrs after taking it. It appears as though it is not getting absorbed. I have tried giving it to her in the chewable form, and that seems to be working. Is this a common problem???
-
Frequent vomiting is not commonly reported with Denamarin tablets. The manufacturer reports that the active ingredients in Denamarin have been shown to be well-tolerated by both dogs and cats with a wide margin of safety. Please follow up with your veterinarian as this symptom may indicate a different underlying issue.

I have a cat that is about 21 pounds could I use the denamarin for large dogs. for my cat thank you.?
-
The Denamarin for Cats and Small Dogs tablets are recommended for cats because of their small tablet size and contain 90mg of the active ingredient S-Adenosylmethionine. For animals weighing over 12 lbs the labeled daily dosage is 1 tablet twice daily. The large dog Denamarin is recommended for animals weighing at least 35 lbs and over, has a larger tablet size, and contains 425 mg of S-Adenosylmethionine. The medium dog Denamarin is recommended for animals weighing 13 to 34 lbs and contains 225mg of S-Adenosylmethionine. We recommend talking with your veterinarian to determine which size product and dose is safe for your cat, and if you can move up the medium size.

What is the difference between denamarin for large dogs and denamarin chewable for all size dogs??
-
Suzie, The denamarin for large dogs are tablets and need to be swallowed whole, where as the denamarin chewables can be chewed. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Thank you for that answer. Are the chewable tabs coated in flavoring? My dog is on a hypoallergenic diet and flavoring is contraindicated. Thank you!?
-
Per the manufacturer, there is artificial roast beef flavoring in the chewable tablets; therefore they suggest using the original enteric-coated Denamarin tablets instead of the chewable tablets if hypoallergenic diet is a concern. It would also be important to discuss any new supplements or dietary concerns with your pet’s veterinarian as well. Thank you, VetRxDirect
