- Cyclosporin Coconut Oil Ophthalmic Solution is a prescription eye drop used to treat dry eye and immune-mediated eye conditions in dogs and cats.
Why is Cyclosporin Coconut Oil Ophthalmic Solution used for dogs and cats?
- Cyclosporin Ophthalmic is used to help relieve the swelling and irritation caused by dry eye conditions and immune system disorders.
- Cyclosporine is prescribed to treat dry eye conditions in dogs, including keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS) and chronic superficial keratitis (CSK).
- Cyclosporine is also prescribed to treat other immune-mediated eye problems.

- Cyclosporine may cause mild burning, stinging, irritation, or redness of the eye.
- It may also cause eyelid spasms and loss of hair around the eye.
How is Cyclosporin Coconut Oil Ophthalmic Solution used for dogs and cats?
- Administer this drug to your animal’s eye in the exact amount that your veterinarian has prescribed.
- Use proper administration techniques to avoid contamination of the Cyclosporin Coconut Oil Ophthalmic Solution. Do not touch the dropper tip or allow it to touch your animal’s eye or any other surface to prevent contamination.
- Keep the cap on when not in use.
- If any residue is left on your animal’s face after giving the eye drops, gently wipe it off with a damp cloth or tissue.
- Wash your hands before administering this medication.
- Cyclosporine is an immunosuppressant. Wear gloves when handling the medication to protect yourself.
- Wait 5 to 10 minutes after applying Cyclosporin to the eye before administering any other eye medication.
