Helpful!
From UndisclosedComments about Viralys Powder, 100gPut this in my cats food every day when I feed him and he doesn't have a problem with the taste or anything. His respiratory issues don't get worse when he has this consistently. -
Great for preventative care
From UndisclosedComments about Viralys Gel 5ozI've been putting Viralys in Manhattan's wet food for seven years now to control FHV flare-ups. It's worked wonders - I don't remember the last time he had a cold (knock on wood). Would highly recommend it for any owner of a flat-nosed furbaby. -

I would buy this product multiple times.
From UndisclosedComments about ViralysBasically lysine, and an immune booster... used for the herpes virus, we give it to our cat Pantera, she was born with drippy eyes, (outside feral) and this seems to keep that in check, whether her eye issue was from a herpes virus or not when she was a kitten, we do not know, but this works. -
I would definitely buy this again
From UndisclosedComments about ViralysThe cats love it. No problem giving them their medicine. -
Love this product.
From UndisclosedComments about ViralysWe recently adopted a cat who has herpes in his eyes. We feed him a little of this everyday. He hasn't had an episode since using and he loves the taste. Less expensive then getting the lysine pump yet just as effective.-
Our new boy Andy loves Viralys

Daily medication is worth it!
From undisclosedComments about ViralysAll three of my cats have the herpes virus, so this is a daily medication I have to give them. It keeps them from coughing as it reduces the reproduction of the virus. I can tell when I take a day or two (or three) off as one of them will start shedding the virus (coughing) almost right away and then it flares up in all of them. I sprinkle the powder into their dry food and also use the gel. The small powder will last me about 6 months, a tube of gel will last about one month. As long as I give one dose/squirt daily of the gel (usually by spoon or mixed in their soft food) they don't cough. They don't notice the powder at all and they think the gel is a treat that I give them - which means the whole family is happy! -
I will keep buying this.
From undisclosedComments about ViralysI give this to my cat twice a day since he was a rescue kitten now 5 years old and it seems to be keeping his teeth and gums in good shape He does not like getting his teeth brushed anymore so I really depend on this vet recommended product. Thank you for the special treat package you send with each order also a nice personal touch. -

This definitely works
From WisconsinComments about ViralysMy cat is getting older and always had a bit of respiratory problems. She recently got a cold an could not seem to shake sneezing, watery eyes, coughing and labored breathing. I tried this and it definitely worked right away. I put some In the food bowl but have been putting it on her paws as well so she licks it off as trying to get her to swallow it with a stopper has been difficult -
Good for cat herpes
From undisclosedComments about ViralysGreat for keeping herpes infections under control. I mix this in with my cats food. Did not try it plain yet. Smells like maple syrup. Would recommend.

Viralys is a nutritional supplement that contains lysine that may be used in attempts to suppress feline herpesvirus infections in cats. According to Plumb’s Veterinary Drug Handbook, animals are usually on this product for a long time, often for the rest of their lives. Speak with your cat’s veterinarian to determine the appropriate use of this product for your cat.

We have been using the lysine gel for our two cats. We purchased from our vet. However, I noticed when I purchased this product online, the ingredient listed on the tube shows 250 mg Lysine per dose, however the tube from my vet indicates 500 mg per dose. Do you sell a gel product with 500 mg lysine?
-
According to the labeling on our Viralys gel tube, the dosing is 500 mg per ½ tsp.

what can I use to mix this product in besides wet kitten food. My kitten who is 7 weeks old will not eat her wet food if I mix this product in.?
-
The manufacturer recommends mixing the Viralys powder with wet or moistened food. Viralys also comes in a flavored gel that you may also try. If your pet refuses to take it, we recommend contacting your veterinarian to find another product.

Hi, This is listed as follows, on Amazon, with your company name as seller..."Viralys Oral Gel for Cats, 5 oz (L-Lysine) - 3 Pack" for $15.21 yet when I clicked on it and arrived here, it seems that price is for a SINGLE tube? I am confused...?
-
We apologize, but this is an error listed on another site outside of our control. Our prices are listed per tube. Thank you.

I am in need of the L-Lysine gel for my two cats who have the herpes virus - I would buy 2-3 tubes - do you ship to Canada by USPS not UPS and how much is the shipping - I am desperate as I am a low income pensioner?
-
Unfortunately, we are only licensed to ship within the United States and are not licensed to ship to Canada. Thank you, VetRxDirect

What is the difference between the paste and the gel? ?
-
Viralys (L-Lysine) is available as a powder and a gel. The primary difference between the two is in the administration. The powder is typically sprinkled over wet or dry food, while the gel is usually administered on its own. For cats six months and over, one rounded scoop (provided) of powder twice daily is recommended by the manufacturer, while 1/4 teaspoonful of gel twice daily is suggested for the gel. Your cat's veterinarian may adjust that dose higher or lower. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Are these tubs sealed on the inside??
-
The Viralys powder tubs are sealed on the inside, however, unless the lid is removed very carefully, the seal will come off with the lid. You should still find it stuck in the inside of the lid. Thank you, VetRxDirect
