Vetri Cardio is a nutritional support formula for dogs that promotes health of the cardiovascular system. It uses amino acids taurine, DMG, carnitine, and arginine to help reduce oxidative stress, support healthy blood pressure and heart rate, fluid elimination, and blood flow. It also includes CoEnzyme 10 to help maintain cardiac strength, as well as potassium and magnesium to support heart rhythm and electrical activity. Vetri Cardio is ideal for dogs with cardiovascular support needs, and breeds predisposed to heart problems. My Bichon Frise weighs 17 pounds. How much of this supplement would he get daily??

The manufacturer recommends giving 1 chew per 30lbs of weight, so dogs weighing up to 30lbs should get 1 chew daily. Dogs 30-60lbs would get 2 chews daily, dogs 60-90lbs would get 3 chews daily, and so on. Vetriscience Laboratories package insert for Vetri-Cardio Canine recommends giving 1 chew per 30 lbs of body weight once daily. If your dog weighs 17 pounds, give ½ chew daily.

Have there been any reports of this product causing nausea in small dogs (around 10lbs).Thanks?

Joseph, There have been no reports via the manufacturer. They do warn that dogs consider them treats and if an accidental overdose would occur, you should contact your veterinarian.
