If you love your cat, you'll buy these.
From Marlton njComments about Terumo NeedlesI previously used 20 gauge needles but had to order from Canada to get them in 1 inch. So I decided to give 21 a try in order to order from vet direct. I'm SO glad i did! I thought I was using the right size needle before, but my cat has lost a little weight due to kidney disease. The smaller needle works better! She didn't complain at all. If you love your cat, give these a try AND be sure to put a heating pad on your subQ fluids before administration. Kitty will feel better and still like you afterwards!-

Best needle
From undisclosedComments about Terumo NeedlesThese needles are the best I've found for giving my cat subcutaneous fluids. -
Awesome product
From undisclosedComments about Terumo NeedlesThese needles make giving our cat fluids so much easier. The flow rate is super fast compared to the other needles we used in the past. Since our cat is not one to sit still for long periods of time, it makes the sessions much quicker. -
Amazingly sharp, quick flowing needles! Wildly impressed.
From undisclosedComments about Terumo NeedlesThese needles are amazing! My cat was recently diagnosed with kidney disease and needs to receive subQ fluids every other day. I was given some needles from the vet but then ordered these. The vet's needles were 18 gauge and looked so painful! I have a friend who is a nurse helping needle-phobic me get used to the process. She's been inserting the needles thus far, and exclaims every single time how amazed she is at these needles and how seamlessly they insert as well as administer the fluid. I ordered a 21 gauge ultra thin wall, and it doesn't take any longer than the 18 gauge regular did. Very happy to be able to make this process easier for both me and my kitty. -
Terumo Ultra Thin Wall needles and VetRx - A+!
From undisclosedComments about Terumo NeedlesWe use Terumo 21UTW needles for daily subq infusion, and find them to be much nicer than the 19g Monoject originally used by our vet. Our usual online source for these specific needles was out of stock, so this was my first order with VetRx. I'm very pleased with the quick and efficient service! -
Happier cat
From undisclosedComments about Terumo NeedlesVery prompt shipment. Our cat is much happier when we use this fine gauge needle. -
They really are sharper!
From undisclosedComments about Terumo NeedlesThank you to other reviewers for such positive information on the Terumo needles. They are definitely sharper and make home infusion of our cat so much easier for us as well as much more comfortable for her. -
Great needles, A+ service
From Carson City, NVComments about Terumo NeedlesMy kitty Gazza and I do subQ fluids daily, so gentle needles are a must to keep this routine as stress-free as possible. The 18 gauge we were originally given by our vet were awful, as anyone who has used them for infusion on a cat can attest. While they are a bit slower, the "ultra thin wall" does make them quicker than regular walled needles of the same size.-

I will be buying again.
From undisclosedComments about Terumo NeedlesThese needles made a big difference in giving my cat IV fluids, just as everyone said they would. a lot less issues. They go in easier than previous needles (vet) I was using. -
A very good option for subcu fluids in a smaller cat
From undisclosedComments about Terumo NeedlesOur 16-year-old cat has kidney failure and we give her subcu fluids every other day. She is only 6 1/2 lb and quite compact. I decided to try the 1 inch 19 gauge Terumo needle after using 1 1/2 inch 20 gauge Terumo because there is not much cat to work with, and it was too easy to poke the needle through the other side of her scruff. I was concerned that these may be as uncomfortable as the vet's 18 gaugers due to the larger bore, but found that not only do they slide very easily into Cassie's scruff, and the shorter length makes it far easier to push the needle into her small scruff. She is comfortable throughout and these very sharp, slightly larger gauge needles deliver the fluids very quickly. The shorter needle is also easier to manipulate should the flow slow for some reason, with our cat remaining comfortable. I recommend Terumo needles as superior to the other brand our vet uses, and this length as being particularly useful in a small, thin cat. Taking the time and effort to deliver these fluids means that Cassie is very lively, happy and active.
Q & A

I'm looking for a Monoject 250 20 x 3/4 A needle for subq fluids for my cat. I can't seem to find that gauge anywhere. Do you sell those? I got the above-named needle from my vet but cannot seem to find them online anywhere.?
-
Unfortunately we do not sell the Monoject brand of needles at this time. The closest size that we currently carry is manufactured by Terumo, 20 gauge, length 1.5 inches. You may consider speaking with your veterinarian to see which types of needles are the best option for your pet’s needs and the type of medication you are administering. Your veterinarian may be able to provide you with a supply, or recommend an alternative size that is more available for purchase.

Do you offer the Terumo 20g thin wall needles in 1" length? I need this size for administering subcutaneous fluids and find 1.5" is too long.?
-
Currently, Terumo does not manufacture the 20g veterinary needles in 1 inch length. If you feel that you need a shorter length needle, you may discuss this with your veterinarian to determine if another size needle will work for you and your pet.
Verified Answer -
This is the length I need as well as 1/5" is too long. The cat gets subcutaneous fluids every day so there is a lot of scar tissue

So to be sure the thin wall NN2525R terumo needles will screw into a Luer lock syringe? Similar to the way a Luer lock needle is? Or are they for slip tip only? This is what has been throwing me off.?
-
Terumo needles have a slip tip end, and they can be used with both luer lock and slip tip syringes.

Hello, First, I would like to confirm that you have the Terumo 19 gauge 1" thin wall and 21 gauge 1" ultra thin wall needles in stock. Do I first place the order on your site and then have my vet fax the prescription to you or do you require the prescription first? What is your fax number that my vet can use to send the prescription? I live in New York. Is there any prohibition against you shipping the needles once the prescription has been verified? Thanks in advance for your reply. Sincerely, Lonnie M.?

Will you be carrying the 20G x 1" needles? That is a good one for subcu fluids. A 1-1/2 " needle is a bit long for subcutaneous fluids, and the 20G is really a desirable gauge to use. Thanks, Cynthia?
-
same question: 1" thin wall (or ultra thin wall) 20 Gauge needles, please.
