I'm wondering how the powder helps my dog's tartar control if I sprinkle the powder on her dry food but she swallows the bits whole and doesn't chew the food at all. Is it a waste to use this product in this situation? Other than switching to soft food, do you have any suggestions??
-
Tartar Shield sprinkles contains sodium tripolyphosphate to decrease tartar formation and an antimicrobial agent for reducing plaque and malodor. This product is designed to be sprinkled with meals and reduce tartar formation when used in this way. The manufacturer does not provide information on whether swallowing the food whole changes this benefit. Contact your veterinarian if you have further questions or concerns regarding this product.
