From UndisclosedComments about Revolution (selamectin) for Dogs 5.1-10 lbs, 3 Month SupplyRevolution is the only product that I know of that prevents heartworm and fleas/ticks. No worries about fleas or ticks . . even heartwom.
From UndisclosedComments about Revolution (selamectin) for DogsWe have used this product, Revolution, for many years. Our 6 collies have thrived while using this flea, tick, and heartworm prevention medication. Now we are giving it to our eldest Collie Ginger who is 12 and a half years old. She is still active, happy and bossy. To have owned and loved collies since the early 80s, and have been flea, tick and heartworm free, I would not hesitate to give this medication to any dog, but of course, only after consulting with our Vet.

Does revolution kill dog mites?
-
According to the manufacturer, Revolution (selamectin) Topical Parasiticide for Dogs kills adult fleas and prevents flea eggs from hatching for one month and is indicated for the prevention and control of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis), prevention of heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis, and the treatment and control of ear mite (Otodectes cynotis) infestations. Revolution also is indicated for the treatment and control of sarcoptic mange (Sarcoptes scabiei) and for the control of tick infestations due to Dermacentor variabilis. So, Revolution will help treat and control some types of mites in dogs. Please consult your veterinarian about whether this would be an effective treatment for your dog, your area, and the particular mites that you are affecting your dog.

My dog is normally 36 #,she is now 5 weeks pregnant and 40 #. Which dose box should I order? Got vet approval today. Do ya just call my vet??
-
According to Plumb's Veterinary Handbook, Revolution appears to be safe to use in pregnant or lactating dogs. Revolution is indicated for prevention of heartworm disease and to prevent and control flea infestations. Zoetis, the producers of Revolution state that actual body weight should be used when determining the correct dosage for your dog. So for example if your pregnant dog is now 41 lbs, you should select the teal box of Revolution for dogs weighing between 40.1 - 85 lbs.

I have a 2.3 pound teacup yorkie she is about 7yrs old. I have used revolution before. our vet use to give us some samples but cant get anymore. I don't remember which one we used. What strength? I saw for puppies under 5lbs. but she isn't a puppy. Which one would I need??
-
The dose for Revolution is based on the weight of the pet, rather than their age. Dogs up to 5 pounds will get the 15 mg of selamectin per tube dose. Talk with your veterinarian to determine if Revolution is the appropriate treatment for your pet.

I have two dogs and one is 20lbs. Should I get the dose foe 10-20lbs or get the bigger dose for 20-40lbs??
-
It depends on what your veterinarian would recommend. If the pet is still growing, the 20-40 pound would probably be better but we suggest speaking with your veterinarian to see which size they would recommend. Thank you, VetRxDirect
