- PrednisoLONE is a compounded prescription steroid medication.

- PrednisoLONE may be prescribed to treat hypoadrenocorticism (Addison's disease).
- It may also be prescribed to reduce inflammation, suppress the immune system, or as an anticancer agent.
What else should I know about PrednisoLONE?
- The mini-med tablets have no flavor.
- Mini-Med Tablets are scored to make it easier to split them in half. Quartering the tablets is not recommended.
What problems could my cat or dog have with PrednisoLONE?
- PrednisoLONE should not be used in animals that are receiving nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or other steroids, and in animals that have high cortisol levels (Cushing’s disease.
- The most common side effects of PrednisoLONE are increased appetite, thirst, and need to urinate.
How is PrednisoLONE used for Cats and Dogs?
- Follow your veterinarian's directions for using this medication.
- Give with food to help prevent stomach upset
- Provide your animal with plenty of fresh water. This medication can increase thirst.
