Porus One is a life-saver for kitties with CKD!

I discovered Porus One a few years ago while reading a veterinary magazine that regularly comes to our non-profit, and it extolled the virtues of this new product for cats with CKD. When I mentioned it to one of our regular veterinarians, he explored it further while attending a veterinary conference and ended up thanking me for introducing it to him, since he now planned on prescribing it to all of his clients with CKD kitties. Porus One has now become a staple part of our CKD routine, especially since we currently have 3 cats taking it. Dechra, the company who produces it, was very helpful in providing me with detailed information on how it works and why it is so effective at helping to manage this debilitating condition. Our Little Bear, who passed away last November, was on it for almost two years and now his sister Moopa, his neice Buttercup, and his friend Savana are taking it as well. Presented as a black, fine power that resembles iron ore, Porus One mixes well with a small amount of palatable food and is virtually odorless and tasteless. None of our cats have ever had an issue with its administration and actually enjoy eating it. Its primary purpose is to bind to the toxins in the kidneys and secrete them through the feces (which often turn black). As long as it is given within a two-hour distance from any phosphorus binders the kitty may be taking (such as Epakitin), it is easy to give and is quickly absorbable. One packet every 24 hours is the recommended dose and cats tolerate it very well--often looking forward to eating it due to its gritty and interesting texture. I highly recommend Porus One to anyone with a CKD kitty, regardless of the animal's current diet; it truly makes a difference in their daily routine and overall well-being.

Very Hopeful

My senior girl, Bella, has chronic kidney disease. After 4 years at early stage, she's beginning to creep into Stage 2 of CKD. Porous One is often mentioned in the Feline Chronic Kidney Disease FB group and many of the cat parents say their kitties improve after use. Bella has only been on the Porous One for less than a week but I'm noticing a shift in her. She's becoming more active again and her grooming routine has picked once again. I'm grateful this product is available.
