Q & A

Do these tablets break/cut easily? I've had tablets in the past which crumbled and I ended up wasting 1/2 the tablet. Would be nice to be able to snap these by hand without a pill cutter but if not simply using a pill cutter and able to give both halves of the pill would be a plus too!?
-
The pimobendan tablets are roughly 0.5cm and are scored for splitting. If you have difficulty snapping them by hand, using a pill cutter can help ease splitting.

curious why the generic is the same, if not more expensive than the name brand...Pimobendan--Vetmedin 10mg?
-
Pimobendan for Dogs and Cats Compounded Mini-Med, is not a generic equivalent to Vetmedin Chewable Tablets. Rather it is a compounded medication that provides a smaller tablet than Vetmedin to make it easier to swallow. It is also unflavored which may be beneficial to a pet sensitive to the beef flavor in Vetmedin Chewable Tablets. Our pricing is determined by what we actually pay for the medications that we sell and will vary up and down over time. Please consult your veterinarian regarding any further questions or concerns regarding this medication in your cat/dog.
