Phycox is a joint supplement used to help maintain healthy cartilage and joint mobility in dogs of all ages.
Phycox contains a natural antioxidant, Phycocyanin, that eliminates free radicals found in the body. This may help ease discomfort associated with normal daily exercise and activity.

Initial administration of 4 to 6 weeks: Dogs under 30 lbs, 1/2 to 1 chew daily. Dogs 31-60 lbs, 1 to 2 chews daily. Dogs 61 to 120 lbs, 2 to 3 chews daily. Dogs over 120 lbs, 4 to 5 chews daily.

For the first 4 to 6 weeks, double the maintenance administration for maximum benefit.

1 scoop is approximately 4 grams. A 7.5 cc scoop is included.

My vet recommended this product for an older dog we have who has arthritis. I started to buy it on line. When I ran out once, I decided not to order again, thinking that it wasn't making much difference. Within a week, my dog was having trouble getting up & walking despite the anti-inflammatory meds he is on. I ordered again & have not run out since. It makes a difference for our old dog, Buddy.

I have been buying this particular product for the past 3-4yrs. now & found it really helps our dogs with joint issues. However, this last batch of chews were very grainy & crumbles terribly. Not sure what to do, may have to look for another product.

All I can say is this product works! My baby boy Moose has been taking it for years and will continue to take it for many more to come. When Moose began to have joint inflammation in his back legs our vet recommended Phycox. My vet recommended Phycox originally for our dog who had hip dysplasia, to help him feel more comfortable. After he passed, I had Phycox left and asked if it was okay to give it to our younger, healthy dog just to help his joints generally. I was told that many people use Phycox as a maintenance product so have been using it for quite some time. Our old dog seemed to benefit from it, and our young dog, who is 5 years old now, is very active and has had no joint problems. I think that Phycox is an excellent product and is safer for dogs than some of the harsher prescription drugs available for joint pain.

Rosco, my black lab, is almost 13 years old. He is in excellent health except for his joint stiffness. I started giving him 2 phycox per day, 3 years ago and has been able to go on our 2 mile walks every day. Recently, my granddaughter took care of him for a week, but did not give him his phycox. When I returned it was very difficult for Rosco to get up and down, I immediately started him on 4 phycox per day for 1 week, He is back to his normal self and taking 2 phycox per day. I'm very thankful the phycox keeps him pain free!

We have a large German Shepherd, 10 years old, who is in better shape and more active now than he was years ago, thanks to Phycox Chews. We started him on them when he was not moving well, and in pain at times. A number of people told me they had incredible results with similar problems by giving their dogs the chews. They were right! At least for us, they work wonderfully. I am so grateful for them, and absolutely recommend them to anyone who's animal is having joint or bone issues.
wondering what the flavoring and preservatives are. one of my dogs is allergic to beef, soy, peanuts, green peas, and white potatoes. can she have this product or would she need the hypoallergenic? thanks?

The Phycox Small Bites/Soft Chews label lists the inactive ingredients as corn starch, emulsifier, glycerine, magnesium stearate, marine lipid concentrates, molasses flavor, natural liver flavor, propylene glycol, sucrose, vegetable oil.
The HypoAllergenic Phycox lists the same inactive ingredients with the exception of natural liver flavor, and the addition of hydrolyzed soy protein.
The inactive ingredients for the Phycox Granules are listed as hydrolyzed soy protein, marine lipid concentrates, molasses flavor, natural liver flavor, propylene glycol, silica, sucrose, whey.

Phycox is a nutritional joint support supplement for dogs that contains glucosamine, msm, creatine, vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids and flaxseed oil as the main ingredients. Each Phycox formula varies and has a different concentration of these ingredients. The I/D diet is a food by Hills Science Diet formulated with a low fat content for pets with certain dietary needs and digestive issues. The manufacturer does not have any recommendations or restrictions of this product for certain types of diets. Yes, there are active ingredients found in the Phycox supplement that behave in a similar fashion to the listed medications. I would PHycox use with these medications unless okayed by veterinarian including additional monitoring.

Novox is a nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drug used to treat the pain and swelling in aching joints. Phycox is a supplement used to supports the bones, joints, and the immune system while providing antioxidant supplementation. These can be taken together to provide relief from joint pain and stiffness. If you do intend to use the Phycox, note that there is a difference between the initial and the maintenance doses of this medication. Novox® Caplets should not be given with other NSAIDs (for example aspirin, deracoxib, etodalac, firocoxib, meloxicam, tepoxalin) or steroids (for example cortisone, dexamethasone, prednisone, triamcinolone). Please inform your veterinarian when your pet starts or stops medications, including over the counter medications, to ensure that they are aware of all the therapies that your pet is receiving.

Phycox is a product that contains natural occurring phycocyanin, which has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties. This is the main difference between Glyco-Flex and Phycox. Both of these products contain glucosamine to support joint health in dogs. There is not a series of Phycox products that correlate with different stages of a dog's life. This product is advertised to support joint health and decrease inflammation in dogs of all ages. Talk with you veterinarian to determine the best supplement to give your dog.

Hi I have a 250 pound English mastiff and have been switching over slowly off of medacam and just onto the soft chews. The dosage over 100 pounds is 4-5 chews and I give him 5. I am noticing very soft piles almost diarrhea, can it cause a bit of that??

Thank you for answering.. His stool has already became normal again, but I just want to make sure that since he is 250 pounds and I will be decreasing the chews to 2.5 is this going to be enough for a dog of his size? He has severe knee joint trouble and I have moved him from medicam very slowly over to phycox max and he is doing very well on 5 chews. But it's been 6 weeks and time to drop down to his maintenance dose, and I am worried size vs amount. Thank you.

Phycox is a blend of medications intended to help with joint pain. Ingredients in this medication, such as glucosamine, have been associated with soft stools. This could also be a food allergy/intolerance to a component of the medication. Recommended initial dose for dogs greater than 100 lbs. is 5 chews daily for 4-6 weeks. It is then recommended to decrease to 2 ½ chews thereafter. Decreasing the dose may be an option. If diarrhea becomes severe or persistent, it would be recommended to discuss with your dog’s veterinarian to determine if there is another underlying cause.

My 4 year old boxer 68lbs. is on Novox 100mg. She had tightrope surgery last year and her meniscus removed. She currently is taking the Novox 1 per day in halves am pm, along with the phycox 2 per day. Does she need the Novox daily??
