From UndisclosedComments about OndansetronA must-have med prescribed by my cat's doc that keeps his pancreatitis at bay; this little pill is a life-saver for my little guy. If you've ever had a cat who was a vomiter, or that's been diagnosed with pancreatitis, you know what I mean. It's very hard to see them in such discomfort-this medication is truly a blessing. VetRxDirect has always been very responsive and efficient in processing my prescription orders. Thank you guys! -
I will continue to buy this medication for her.

From Seaford, DEComments about OndansetronThis product works well as long as you give it enough time to be effective. I have to give this to my pet a hour before instead of 30 minutes and it seems to work well. It is a little costly since I have a larger pet and I have to give her 2 a day instead of 1. -
Give time to work
From undisclosedComments about OndansetronThis product is a little costly but seems to do well if given enough time to work.

My daughter gave our 43lb dog another dose (2 pills 8mg each) of ondansetron 2 hrs after I gave it to her. Can my dog have adverse effects on this amount??
-
Ondansetron is usually well tolerated according to veterinary drug information. Ondansetron is a human labeled medication which may be used in an extra-label manner by a veterinarian to treat animals. Without having a health history for your pet that the veterinarian would have, it is not possible to predict adverse events from a dose that has been doubled. According to Plumb's Veterinary Drug Handbook, the extra dose as described for the weight of your pet would still be in the recommended dosing range and not likely to cause significant adverse events. Speak to your veterinarian for further guidance.

Why is my 12.5 month olds shepard mix's rear leaking gold fluid, liquid. The only other medication he is taking is prednisone.?
-
Ondansetron does not cause this side effect. Prednisone may increase the risk of a stomach ulcer, which then could lead to dark, tarry stools. Prednisone may also elevate your dog's liver enzymes, which then could lead to clay-colored stools. However, neither drug should result in gold color liquid discharge from your dog. It is recommend to contact your veterinarian for any additional questions on concerns.
