Muscle Miracle
From TennesseeComments about MYOS VET Strength Canine Muscle Formula with BCAAThe vet referred this product to us for our dog that started getting muscle waste due to a knee injury, being a tripod and hip dysplasia/arthritis. Our pup is 46lbs and we give one scoop on dry food in the am and pm. He eats it up no problem. Muscle waste in his rear thigh stopped and even gained some muscle back. He is on this for life, a life saver in his mobility. -

Recommended as part of your dog's strength training & rehab
From UndisclosedComments about MYOS VET Strength Canine Muscle Formula with BCAA 15.5oz (440g) TubOur dog became paralyzed suddenly on Halloween. After lifesaving emergency surgery, the neurologist recommended this product. Our dog is slowly learning to walk again and to gain more strength in his legs with exercise and MYOS. Bear loves the taste and we just spinkle it on his food daily. It lasts a really long time and a small amount daily is used. -
Hoping the positive trend will continue!
From UndisclosedComments about MYOS VET Strength Canine Muscle Formula with BCAA 15.5oz (440g) TubMy 10 1/2 year old Malamute suffers from Cushing's Disease. One of the symptoms is muscle loss and leg tremors. He is on meds that can have certain side effects if paired with other meds. He never liked chewable supplements so I was looking for something that a) wouldn't interact negatively with his meds, b) he would not refuse to eat, and, of course, c) help reduce muscle loss! I tried the otc version first, which worked quite well, but needed extra helpings to have any effect on a giant breed dog. A friend suggested I ask my vet about the vet strength formula. Wow!!! I am seriously impressed! Tremors are definitely reduced and he seems less stiff in the morning. And he loves it in his food! Win win win in my book! -

So for up to a 25lb dog, 1 scoop daily is sufficient, 25-49lbs, 2 scoops. Why then does the dose then double instead of continuing along the same recommendation? (50-75lbs, 3 scoops, etc) Is there an actual proven scientific reason for giving the same serving size for dogs 50-100lbs??
-
According to the manufacturer, the dose goes up to 4 scoops per day for dogs weighing over 50 lbs due to weight distribution and scientific analysis for proper dosages with the formula. After 4-6 months some dogs scale back to 2 scoops per day for maintenance. Please consult with your veterinarian regarding any further questions or concerns regarding this supplement.
