Overall a Great Product and Excellent Service
From undisclosedComments about Clindamycin Liquid 25mg/mLThis product is very easy to use. My cat really responds well to the treatment this antibiotic provides as he has a recurring tooth infection and will need antibiotics for the rest of his life. Typically I used to wrap him up in a blanket to avoid near fatal clawing, then I'd quickly squirt 1 mL into his mouth. However recently I've been mixing it into his wet food with warm water and he eats every bite so no more anxiety from him while being medicated! He seems to be pain-free after just 2 days of treatment and after a month he's free of pain and can eat dry food again for 3 months or more. I highly recommend this product to anyone with a "special needs" animal. And as a bonus, VetRxDirect provides this product for less than half the price at the vet's office, the package always arrives fast and there has never been a breakage or any other issue. I will always buy this brand from this site. -

Keeping my Cat and one Feral surviving
From Las Vegas, NVComments about Clindamycin Liquid 25mg/mLI have a 17 teen year old Feral male that I adopted and a Feral who I take care in the field. Both have Stomatitis. The antibiotic Clindamycin drops have helped along with other medications I give them daily.-

cats with Stomatitis
From Las Vegas, NV, USAComments about Clindamycin Liquid 25mg/mLWhile Stomatitis can't, as of yet, be cured, this terrible disease can be controlled with use of certain medicines i.e., Clindamycin Hydrochloride oral drops,of course, along with other medicaments to. Other medications are Medrol which I use the pill form to treat my cat/Sebastian. He was one of many Feral's that I fed each day. He's about fourteen years of age. I trapped him and he is now one of my house Boyes. From what I have read of this disease, removal of all a cat's teeth is recommended but I didn't want to do that so after removing approximately 75% his teeth, I continue to treat him with Clindamycin and Medrol pills. If his condition gets very bad, I have my vet give him a steroid shot with lasts for about six weeks. The downside is that all that continued use of medications can take a toll on a cats inner organs. I choose, for him, to make him ccomfortable for the rest of his life. Dennis-

For Zydaclin, do you need to feed food after administration to prevent esophageal injury??
-
According to Plumb’s Veterinary Drug Handbook, this medication may be given with food or on an empty stomach. Liquid forms of the medication may be given using a syringe. When administering pills, it is recommended that you always follow “pilling” with a small amount of food or about a teaspoonful of water to make sure the capsules or tablets do not get stuck in the throat on the way to the stomach. Please consult with your veterinarian to determine what would be most appropriate for your pet.

My cat needs 150 mg/mL and I'm looking for a decent tasting liquid of Clindamycin. Do you offer this product in higher strenghts? If so how strong do you offer it and at what strength does the taste become horribly pungent, as Clindamycin naturally is.?

If the cat does not eat the wet food with Clinisol liquid put on it, due to the alcohol smell, will the medicine evaporate? Just wondering...thanks?
-
Ellen, The manufacturer does not provide specifics on how the medication should be administered. If you mix the medicine with the cat’s food it’s preferred to only use a small amount of food to make sure the cat consumes the entire dose of medicine. The alcohol present in the medication may evaporate over a period of time but the drug will remain on the food. Follow the directions given by your veterinarian when giving this medicine.
