Excellent product. Many uses for your fur baby.
My husband and I have 5 rescues, our oldest was recently diagnosed with renal failure and our youngest has a very sensitive stomach. We mix a little into soft food on a regular basis. It smells just like chicken bouillon and I'm guessing that is what entices my oldest to eat (for her we use it to get her to eat more do she gets enough calories). It's also solved a lot of the sensitive stomach issues for our youngest. We don't use a whole packet per day, just a little sprinkle in with some soft food or on top of some very low sodium tuna (Starkist brand - about 2 tablespoons). Our vet was kind enough to let us sample it at first, now we buy it by the box.

MIRACLE POWDER
I was at my witts end until my vet suggested this to me after a 3rd visit with my 3 legged fluffa - who happens to be a maine coon cat with long hair. Due to his hind leg being gone he has trouble burying his stuff. He had had loose stools ever since i found him which was getting worse. Within 2 to 3 feedings his stools returned to normal. This was such a god send- trying to clean his bottom and furr was very unpleasant. It has no smell and is much less stressful on the pet than trying to get a pill down. Highly suggest this.

Excellent product for cat occasionally, mild diarrhea.
From undisclosedComments about FortiFlora Probiotic for DogsFortiFlora always works when one of my cats has a slight bowel upset (diarrhea). I highly recommend this product. -
Highly recommend Feline FortiFlora for your cat.
From undisclosedComments about FortiFlora Probiotic for DogsOur cat will open cupboard doors and pull these out, open the box and the envelopes and eat it straight from the box. When he is finicky all we need to do is sprinkle it on his food. -

From undisclosedComments about FortiFlora Probiotic for DogsBest thing for cats with stomach issues. My vet also said it works great to mask the taste of certain medications -
Great product, will buy again.
From undisclosedComments about FortiFlora Probiotic for DogsGreat to get the product. Many businesses don't ship to Alaska. It is great for our cats. It had cleared up severe digestive and bleeding issues with one cat. They both get it everyday and love it sprinkled on their food. -
I will continue to purchase this item
From undisclosedComments about FortiFlora Probiotic for DogsWe use this everyday for my dog that has chronic pancreatitis. He seems to Like the flavor and it has appeared to help prevent diarrhea. -
👍
From undisclosedComments about FortiFlora Probiotic for DogsFollowed the flavor and since taking these probiotics she has been more lively and has been going to the bathroom more comfortably -
Some cats are crazy for the flavor, but mine are indifferent
From undisclosedComments about FortiFlora Probiotic for DogsMy cats were crazy about this at first, but soon became indifferent. I bought it as an appetite stimulant for kidney disease cats. My sisters two heathy cats love it sprinkled on their dinner. -
Cats love.
From undisclosedComments about FortiFlora Probiotic for DogsCats love this. Too expensive. -
I would absolutely continue to buy ths product!
From undisclosedComments about FortiFlora Probiotic for DogsMy vet suggested that I use Fortiflora around 6 years ago, after my girl had a serious bout of colitis. I have given Honey one packet per day and it really does keep her bowels in good working order.......especially more important now since she just had her twelfth birthday and is a pretty big girl. Would I stop using it? No, I really don't want to take the chance of her gut getting out of whack again......I trust this product and feel that it has helped maintain good gastrointestinal health. -
Best thing you can give your dog!
From undisclosedComments about FortiFlora Probiotic for DogsYour dog needs this if he/she has diarrhea, very soft stools, excessive gas and your vet has examined the dog and cleared him/her of other health problems. If antibiotics, dietary changes, stress, persistent and periodic digestive issues are making you and your pet miserable, try this product for 30 days. You will soon know if this product will help your dog or not. Stop changing dog food every week according to what's on sale and give the dog a chance to adjust to some good pet food and daily FortiFlora mixed with the food. You and your dog will be glad you did.

Calming Care by Purina for CATS! I'nm looking for those reviews, not reviews about the product for dogs. Any cat people out there trued this on your cat??
-
Is Hydra Care safe for a cat with kidney disease? Specifically, I wonder about the potassium content. Also, Should Hydra Care be fed separately from food? Does feeding it in food or alongside food change its composition enough to affect the hydrating ability (osmolarity)??
-
Purina Hydra Care is a nutrient-enriched water supplement that promotes healthy hydration in cats. According to the manufacturer, Hydra Care is recommended as a supplement for any cats who would benefit from additional water intake. Hydra Care should be offered separately, in a third bowl alongside your cat’s food and drinking water. 1 packet of Hydra Care contains 32.56 mg of Potassium. It is recommended to consult with your veterinarian to determine if Hydra Care is appropriate for your cat’s needs.

If I add Calming Care to refrigerated wet food and warm it slightly in the microwave, will that reduce effectiveness??
-
According to the manufacturer, warming the Calming Care some is okay. It is active up to a certain temperature. However, it is better to warm the food and then sprinkle the Calming Care on. The manufacturer does not recommend a microwave because the heat cannot be controlled as well.

My 70 lb mixed breed is taking Fortiflora for digestive issues/loose stool and it has now been suggested by a professional trainer that I put him on Calming Care for an anxiety related issue. Is there any reason he shouldn't be given both medications at the same time??
-
According to the manufacturer, you can give your pet both the Fortiflora probiotic supplement for dogs and the Calming Care calming probiotic for dogs. They recommend not giving both probiotics at the same feeding. Please consult your veterinarian regarding any further questions or concerns regarding this medication in your dog.

Just rescued a senior cat with hyperthyroidism and he takes 5 mg Felimazole 2x a day.......he is very skinny and does not eat very much at all.....a friend of mine brought over some Forti Flora and I sprinkled a little on some wet food and he started eating it like crazy (he ate maybe a couple spoons fulls)....and then drank a half of bowl of water....he also acts like he has a sort throat or trouble swallowing...it'll be a little bit before I can get him into the vet....your thoughts?? Thanks for any info, Geri?
-
Hyperthyroidism in cats can cause increased appetite and increased thirst. It can also cause your pet to lose weight. Another side effect of hyperthyroidism is the enlargement of the thyroid gland in the neck. If this gets too enlarged, it may cause your pet to have trouble swallowing. The manufacturer suggests that you consult your veterinarian before giving FortiFlora.

My kitten has terrible gas!! The vet says she is perfectly healthy, possibly just is overly sensitive and I diligently avoid ANY food/treats with grains. Could this possibly help? (It doesn't seem to bother HER-it just chases ME out of the room!)?
-
FortiFlora is a nutritional supplement that contains probiotics and antioxidants to help support a healthy GI tract, but the manufacturer has not studied the supplement specifically on reducing gas in cats and dogs. However, since this supplement helps with promoting intestinal health there is a possibility that it may help with reducing gas. Thank you, VetRxDirect

What is the difference between this product and human probiotics??
-
Phillip, Fortiflora, just like all probiotics, contain live organisms to help promote intestinal health. Probiotics will vary to some degree, differing from the potency and number of different live organisms; fungus and bacteria. The choice of bacteria strain for FortiFlora has been specifically chosen for cats and dogs and also includes other ingredients: protein, fat, and fiber. Thank you, VetRxDirect /
