Excellent product. Many uses for your fur baby.
My husband and I have 5 rescues, our oldest was recently diagnosed with renal failure and our youngest has a very sensitive stomach. We mix a little into soft food on a regular basis. It smells just like chicken bouillon and I'm guessing that is what entices my oldest to eat (for her we use it to get her to eat more do she gets enough calories). It's also solved a lot of the sensitive stomach issues for our youngest. We don't use a whole packet per day, just a little sprinkle in with some soft food or on top of some very low sodium tuna (Starkist brand - about 2 tablespoons). Our vet was kind enough to let us sample it at first, now we buy it by the box.

MIRACLE POWDER
I was at my witts end until my vet suggested this to me after a 3rd visit with my 3 legged fluffa - who happens to be a maine coon cat with long hair. Due to his hind leg being gone he has trouble burying his stuff. He had had loose stools ever since i found him which was getting worse. Within 2 to 3 feedings his stools returned to normal. This was such a god send- trying to clean his bottom and furr was very unpleasant. It has no smell and is much less stressful on the pet than trying to get a pill down. Highly suggest this.

Comments about FortiFlora Probiotic for Dogs 30 Sachets
My kitty, Bela, has kidney & GI issues. Forti Flora was highly recommended by her Vet, and has been a part of her treatment for several years. She enjoys the taste; also, I'm certain it contributes to her well-being, and helps her stay with me longer (-: It will remain an on-going part of her diet for sure!

Yes, he doesn't scratch as much, he has allergies.

Comments about FortiFlora Probiotic for Dogs
Our vet recommended it and he takes the tablet as a treat. He enjoys it and has no problem chewing it. It should be good for him as probiotics are good for humans, too.

A great appetite enhancement

Great to get the product. Many businesses don't ship to Alaska. It is great for our cats. It had cleared up severe digestive and bleeding issues with one cat. They both get it everyday and love it sprinkled on their food.

My cats were crazy about this at first, but soon became indifferent. I bought it as an appetite stimulant for kidney disease cats. My sisters two heathy cats love it sprinkled on their dinner.

Q
Hello, I have been reading up on giving cats with suppressed immune systems probiotics and most say you should not. It also says the same with humans. My vet told me to give it, but I think her immune system is compromised due to long term use of prednisolone (due to intestinal cancer) since she now has what seems to be a cold. I think I am probably making matters worse. What is your opinion? Now I have no idea what to give her for diarrhea. Thank you.?

Q
I mistakenly ordered the canine Fortiflora instead of the feline Fortiflora. Can I use the canine version with my cat and what is the difference? My cat weighs 9 Ibs. if that is relevant.?
- Asked by Judy A
-
Open Reply - VetRxDirect Judy, The FortiFlora feline and canine products contain the same ratio of nutritional components such as protein, fat and fiber as well as the same inactive ingredients. Also, the same microorganism, Enterococcus faecium, is used at the same concentration for both products. The only difference between the two formulations is the addition of taurine in the feline product. According to the manufacturer, taurine has been added for immune system health. Your veterinarian may have additional information on the product so we do recommend contacting him or her for further advice. Thank you, VetRxDirect
