Denamarin is a staple for our Timmy
Our Sheltie has been on Denamarin for over 2 years due to high liver enzymes and a recommendation for gall bladder removal due to sludge and a forming mucocele. We elected not to do the surgery as he was 10 1/2, and try to treat with Denamarin and very low fat food, as well as Ursodiol for the sludge and homeopathic remedies. I cannot say his numbers are better. They are actually worse and we know his liver may never be completely normal. But outside of occasional bouts of diarrhea, he has not been clinical and living a fairly normal life for a now almost 13 year old blessing. Yes, we have had to stay on top of things and spend money to do it, but there was no other choice. A precious part of our family. Can't say for sure how much Denamarin played in this, but we have given it to him faithfully and with recommendations and reviews, we will continue this supplement.
Most Liked Negative Review
Our beagle hates the taste of these.
I am so bummed but our dog spits this right out. In order to be able to use them up I'm resorting to dividing them in quarters and putting cheese around them. Our dog won't even take this in peanut butter. Thankfully for now she will take the regular Denamarin still with peanut butter. It is just more of a hassle so I was hoping the chewable a would have worked.

Denamarin is essential to the well-being of Mitzi
From UndisclosedComments about Denamarin Chewable Tablets Large Dogs Over 35lbs, 30ct BoxMy 13+ yr old female Rottweiler, Mitzi, has a mass on her Bladder. This medication was perscribed by her Vet back in March. She is still doing well 9 months after diagnosis. Denamarin is difficult to get as supplies are limited and stores are frequently out of the dose for her size. I was relieved to find that Vet RxDirect had it in stock and shipped quickly.-

Treat or medication?
From UndisclosedComments about Denamarin Chewable Tablets All Sizes of Dogs, 30ctThe Denamarin is for my dog that was born with a liver shunt. She takes it at 2:00 every afternoon. She thinks it's a treat. I have an alarm set on my phone and she comes running as soon as she hears it. Can't wait to take her medicine-

My cat has a chicken allergy (possibly to all poultery and eggs, not sure) and developed skin inflammation after taking this supplement. His diet does not currently include any chicken so I am trying to determine the cause. Do the inactive ingredients contain any poultry or egg proteins??
-
The manufacturer informed that the Denamarin chewables contain Hydrolyzed chicken flavoring. The Denamarin solid tablets do not contain any chicken ingredients or flavorings. The chewable Denamarin tablets are also recommended to be used in dogs and the Denamarin solid tablets are recommended for cats. For any additional questions please contact us via email at [email protected] before placing an order.

Since the Denamarin tablets are unavailable, what are the inactive ingredients in the chewables? I can't find the information anywhere and it's important. Do they contain hydrolyzed flavoring as well? Thank you.?

According to the manufacturer, the company will not release the names of the inactive ingredients in order to prevent production of counterfeit products. I have a cat that is about 21 pounds could I use the denamarin for large dogs. for my cat thank you.?
-
The Denamarin for Cats and Small Dogs tablets are recommended for cats because of their small tablet size and contain 90mg of the active ingredient S-Adenosylmethionine. For animals weighing over 12 lbs the labeled daily dosage is 1 tablet twice daily. The large dog Denamarin is recommended for animals weighing at least 35 lbs and over, has a larger tablet size, and contains 425 mg of S-Adenosylmethionine. The medium dog Denamarin is recommended for animals weighing 13 to 34 lbs and contains 225mg of S-Adenosylmethionine. We recommend talking with your veterinarian to determine which size product and dose is safe for your cat, and if you can move up the medium size.
