What problems could my dog have with Credelio Quattro?
- Consult with your dog's veterinarian before using this medication and follow their specific recommendations.
- Dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infections prior to the administration of Credelio Quattro.
- Lotilaner, one of the ingredients in Credelio Quattro, is a member of the isoxazoline class. This class has been associated with neurologic adverse reactions including tremors, ataxia, and seizures. Seizures have been reported in dogs receiving isoxazoline class drugs, even in dogs without a history of seizures. Use with caution in dogs with a history of seizures or neurologic disorders.
- If vomiting occurs within an hour after administration, readminister a new dose.
How do you use Credelio Quattro?
- Credelio Quattro is given orally once a month.
- It should be administered with food or within 30 minutes of a meal.
- Splitting of Credelio Quattro tablets is not recommended. Content uniformity of whole and half tablets has not been established.
- Credelio Quattro tablets should only be taken out of the blister pack at the time of dosing.
- Wash hands after handling this medication.
