If we currently give our dog a liquid glucosamine chrondoitin supplement and decide to switch to these soft chews, should we just begin with the dosage for maintenance mode or should we start with the 'initial' dosage for an 8-week period??

If your dog is currently on a maintenance dose of glucosamine plus chondroitin, it would not be necessary to repeat the initial 8 week period. It would be reasonable to begin the soft chews at the suggested maintenance dose. Thank you, VetRxDirect
