Riley is a happy man! We'll, happy dog!
From UndisclosedComments about Carprovet (carprofen) Caplets 100mg, 180ctRiley has terrible arthritis. The Carprofen twice daily allows him to play on our 11 acres. Not like he used to, but he's 14yo. He still hurts when getting up in the morning, but his medication with breakfast keeps him going. Thank you.-

Q & A
-
we have a 7 year old 100 pound lab, who has already had knee surgery. now is favoring the other side. surgeon warned of this, so not suprised. we would like to know what the proper dosage of Carpofen we could give her??
-
Since carprofen is a prescription medication your dog's veterinarian will decide the appropriate dose and frequency for carprofen. Dosing may vary depending on the indication of use and severity of pain. The veterinarian may want to see your pet so he or she can make certain that something else isn’t causing this pain. Thank you, VetRxDirect

What is the difference between the ingredients of Putney's 75 mg Carprofen and the Caprofen offered on other online pet Rx sites? How can you offer this drug for so much less than other online Rx sites ($.58 per pill versus $.85, $1.13 or, $1.25 each??
-
Carprofen Capsules by Putney is a FDA approved generic of Rimadyl Capsules. There are a few manufacturers of FDA approved generic carprofen capsules with a range of prices. There are no generics of chewable carprofen. Make sure you are not comparing prices of carprofen capsules with Rimadyl Chewable Tablets. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Is carprofen available without a prescription??
-
Brenda, Carprofen is a prescription drug and all prescription drugs have the potential for serious side effects, which can be more common and severe if the pet meds are not given under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian who has a valid client / patient relationship. We recommend talking with your pet's veterinarian about what is best for your dog. Thank you, VetRxDirect
