  • Your dog or cat may start scratching itself as fleas begin to die. The scratching behavior is temporary and is a reaction to the fleas, not the drug.

How do you use Capstar Flea Tablets for Dogs and Cats?

  • Recommended Dosage: Cat or Dog 2-25lbs: One tablet at 11.4mg. Dog 25-125lbs: One tablet at 57.0mg.
  • Follow dosing directions exactly - don’t give your pet more medication than directed and don’t skip doses.
  • A single dose of Capstar should kill the adult fleas on your pet. If your pet gets re-infested with fleas, you can safely give another dose as often as once per day.
  • Treat all infested pets in the household. Fleas can reproduce on untreated pets and allow infestations to persist.
