Excellent product. Many uses for your fur baby.
My husband and I have 5 rescues, our oldest was recently diagnosed with renal failure and our youngest has a very sensitive stomach. We mix a little into soft food on a regular basis. It smells just like chicken bouillon and I'm guessing that is what entices my oldest to eat (for her we use it to get her to eat more do she gets enough calories). It's also solved a lot of the sensitive stomach issues for our youngest. We don't use a whole packet per day, just a little sprinkle in with some soft food or on top of some very low sodium tuna (Starkist brand - about 2 tablespoons). Our vet was kind enough to let us sample it at first, now we buy it by the box.

MIRACLE POWDER
I was at my witts end until my vet suggested this to me after a 3rd visit with my 3 legged fluffa - who happens to be a maine coon cat with long hair. Due to his hind leg being gone he has trouble burying his stuff. He had had loose stools ever since i found him which was getting worse. Within 2 to 3 feedings his stools returned to normal. This was such a god send- trying to clean his bottom and furr was very unpleasant. It has no smell and is much less stressful on the pet than trying to get a pill down. Highly suggest this.

Keeps Kit Kats gut healthy during antibiotic tx
From UndisclosedComments about Calming Care 30 SachetsI purchased FortiFlora after an ER vet prescribed two types of antibiotics for an aggressive bacteria that Kit Kat will need to take for months. This was meant to help prevent damage to her gut while she is on these antibiotics. I haven't found a regular vet yet and was looking for a refill when we were running out. Found this on VetRx direct for a great price. Kit Kat actually enjoys the flavor and looks forward to having this sprinkled in her food. Received this product in good condition and it doesn't expire anytime soon. Since I've discovered VetRx, I've ordered a few other things too. -

Genuinely Improved Quality of Life for My Anxious Pet
From Fairbanks, AKComments about Calming CareAfter several months of daily use, I never want my girl to go without this again. She's always been a very high-strung, anxious, and easily over-stimulated dog, and I've tried literally dozens of products over the years to try and help her. This is the only one that's had a consistent, noticeable effect on her behavior. Before starting on calming care, she was such a handful that I would often joke about her ruining my life. She barked at every tiny noise, followed me around the house like an overzealous bodyguard, and though she's always loved other dogs, I had to be incredibly careful about allowing her to play with them, because she would get carried away and overstimulated until regular play escalated into a fight. Human visitors coming to our house caused her to become so hysterically excited that I'd have to sit and pet her continually for as long as they stayed, because if I stopped, she'd spend the duration of their visit frantically trying to climb onto their lap, licking and nibbling at their faces and occasionally punching them in the gut with her giant puppy feet. After about two weeks of giving her Calming Care, I began to see a gradual, but noticeable reduction in these behaviors. Within two months she was practically a normal dog. Don't get me wrong, she's still my crazy, hyper, silly girl, but the nervous energy that used to constantly pour off of her is largely gone, and she's happier for it. The incessant barking has finally ceased, she plays nicely with other dogs, and behaves (mostly) appropriately when people come over. She doesn't hyperventilate during car rides or try to charge through my front window every time someone walks by my house. The bottom line? This will not magically turn a hyper, high-energy dog into a couch potato, but if your pet is displaying anxious, unsettled behaviors, it should help them feel better. It's worked wonderfully for my dog, and I absolutely recommend trying it. -
I would buy this again.
From UndisclosedComments about Calming CareWe use this at the animal shelter I work at to help the dogs that are stressed. -
I would definitely buy & recommend this product!
From UndisclosedComments about Calming CareI can't say enough about the Purina Pro Plan veterinary Calming Care. It's very easy to use, you sprinkle one packet on top of your dogs food and that's all there is to it. To see the effect, in my experience and using it on my own dog it took about a week. Please note, every dog is different so that timeframe may not apply to your pet. She was having some issues of being very nervous in new surroundings,. From what my veterinarian had told me when a dog gets nervous or anxious it affects the gut. The Calming Care is a probiotic, which helps settle the uneasiness in the belly. She compared it to when people have to stand up in front of a room of strangers and give a speech, they get that queasy feeling in the belly, the probiotics settle all that down. I am so happy that Vetrxdirect carries this product!

My kitten has terrible gas!! The vet says she is perfectly healthy, possibly just is overly sensitive and I diligently avoid ANY food/treats with grains. Could this possibly help? (It doesn't seem to bother HER-it just chases ME out of the room!)?
-
FortiFlora is a nutritional supplement that contains probiotics and antioxidants to help support a healthy GI tract, but the manufacturer has not studied the supplement specifically on reducing gas in cats and dogs. However, since this supplement helps with promoting intestinal health there is a possibility that it may help with reducing gas. Thank you, VetRxDirect

What is the difference between this product and human probiotics??
-
Phillip, Fortiflora, just like all probiotics, contain live organisms to help promote intestinal health. Probiotics will vary to some degree, differing from the potency and number of different live organisms; fungus and bacteria. The choice of bacteria strain for FortiFlora has been specifically chosen for cats and dogs and also includes other ingredients: protein, fat, and fiber. Thank you, VetRxDirect /
