What is the recommended dosage? Is it once, twice or more per event? thanks?
-
The manufacturer's recommended dosage is based on weight of the animal, which we have included below. Virbantel is used as a single treatment to kill and control intestinal worms, and does not prevent new ones. Re-treatment may be necessary if your pet is re-infected with worms, but it should be determined by your veterinarian. The deworming schedule may vary depending on the climate where you live and the activity of your dog. Body Weight 30mg Tablet 114mg Tablet 6-12 lbs. 1 12.1-25 lbs. 2 25.1-50 lbs. 1 50.1-100 lbs. 2 100.1 -150 lbs. 3 150.1-200 lbs. 4

Do I need a prescription for virbac? I have a small kennel. Can I buy a whole bottle vs per pill? If so, what is the cost for the 114mg bottle??
-
Susan, The Virbantel does not require a prescription. It is priced per tablet so you can buy 50 tablets that come in a bottle but it would still be sold per tablet. The 114mg tablets are $8.99 per tablet so for the bottle of 50, it would be roughly $450. Thank you, VetRxDirect
