It says on the products description that you can give 1 of these 125mg pills to a dog under 20lbs every (i have a 12lb pomeranian) every other day. Instead could i give 1/4, 1/3, or even 1/2 a tablet each day? i much prefer giving a pill over a liquid.?

According to the manufacturer, the suggested dosing is 125mg every other day for your dog’s size. Although typically OK, we cannot recommend splitting a pill for the purpose of giving your dog a half a tablet every day instead of one tablet every other day. For a medicine such as DMG, there is no reason to believe that one tablet every other day would work less well, cause extra side effects, etc. We recommend staying with the manufacturer’s recommended directions--one tablet every other day.
