- Contact your local waste management about the safe disposal of Sentinel. It can be very toxic to fish and wildlife.
What problems could my dog have with Sentinel Flavor Tabs?
- Sentinel Flavor Tabs do not kill adult fleas, so you may need to treat your dog with an additional medication to control adult fleas.

Works well for my picky little dog.
From UndisclosedComments about Sentinel Flavor Tabs for Dogs 2-10 lbs, 6 Month SupplyBambi is very tiny and rarely goes outside, but still needs heartworm preventative since we live in South Carolina and mosquitos abound. This is easy to give, a small tablet easily hidden in cheese works for her and she is protected. I have never had a problem with a reaction of any kind with this medication and have never seen a flea on her. -

Hey There, If my did is 50.3 lbs which dosage should I use??
-
If your dog currently weighs 50.3lbs, then your dog would fall under the Sentinel Flavor tabs for the 26-50lb weight range. The next dosage weight range is for dogs weighing 51-100lbs. It is important to speak with your veterinarian to confirm the correct dosage size of the Sentinel Flavor Tabs because this medication requires a prescription. Your veterinarian may choose to use the 51-100lb dosing range to ensure your dog is adequately protected from heartworm disease, intestinal parasites and fleas in case the weight fluctuates above 51 pounds.

So does sentinel eliminate the need for flea medicine? And what is the difference between sentinel and heart guard? My dog has so many medications I want to reduce them.?
-
According to the manufacturer, Sentinel Flavor Tab for dogs is a once-a-month prescription tablet that prevents heartworm disease and flea populations, controls flea populations and adult hookworms, and removes and controls adult roundworm and whipworm infections in dogs and puppies. Heartgard Tablets are used to prevent just canine heartworm disease. Heartguard Plus Chewables kill heartworms, hookworms, and roundworms. Many products formulated for flea prevention also include protection against ticks. Please consult your veterinarian regarding any further questions or concerns regarding the use of these medications with your dog.

is tri heart plus the same as sentinel?
-
These two medications are not the same. Sentinel contains milbemycin oxime and lefunuron that prevent heartworm disease, help remove and control hookworms, roundworms, whipworms and flea infections. Tri-Heart Plus contains ivermectin/pyrantel that prevent heartworm disease and control roundworms and hookworms. Both of these medications need a prescription from a veterinarian. Your veterinarian will be able to diagnose your dogs with worms and prescribe the most appropriate medication to treat them. Thank you, VetRxDirect

if I have a box of Sentinel that I packed away when I moved and its EXP date is 12/11 is there any effective medication left in it or is it literally trash? I just found this unused box today (stored in cool dry place) and just trying to see if safe 4 use?
-
We do not recommend using expired product. There is no evidence that the medication is still effective past the expiration date. Thank you, VetRxDirect
