PowerBand Flea and Tick Collar for Dogs
What is PowerBand:
PowerBand is a flea and tick collar for dogs that kills immature fleas, adult fleas, and flea eggs for up to 5 months. This collar is one-size fits almost all with a plastic buckle design to hold it on. Some well developed St. Bernards or Mastiffs may not be able to fit into the Powerband collar, but the manufacturer offers a full purchase price refund if it does not fit.
How to use Powerband:
1. Thread the flat end of the collar through the buckle hole and tighten as necessary, so that at least two ridges are covered by the buckle. Since the plastic buckle is molded into the collar, the possibility of neck irritation and buckle failure is reduced. Collar should fit snug enough to prevent placement of the dog’s/puppy’s leg or lower jaw through the collar, yet loose enough to be rotated about the neck.
2. Leave 1-2 extra inches on the length of the collar for adjustment, cut off excess, and dispose of in trash.
3. Check periodically and adjust fit if necessary, especially when puppies are rapidly growing.
4. Replace in 5 months for continuous protection from adult fleas, ticks, and flea eggs. To release the collar, squeeze buckle between thumb and finger and pull sharply. Collar does not need replacement if dog/puppy becomes wet.

Third Year Purchasing This Collar
From North CarolinaComments about PowerBand Flea and Tick Collar for DogsThis is the third year that I have purchased this collar for my 2 golden retrievers. During the summer, they are constantly playing in the woods and hay fields. Before using this collar, I would have to constantly remove ticks from their fur. With the collar, very few to no ticks are ever seen. Would definitely use this product again and plan to use it this summer as well.

According to the manufacturer, the PowerBand collar can be used on any size dog but should not be used on puppies under 12 weeks of age.

are the buckles like the type Hartz uses? I bought one of their collars for my bull dog and the buckle broke in 2 days. Will it withstand scratching at it and rough housing with the other dogs??

The buckle on this collar is an adjustable plastic buckle, i'm not sure what the collar is like on the Hartz collars.
