Vet recommended
From UndisclosedComments about Phycox Max HA, 90 Soft ChewsMy vet recommended and also someone else recommended so I gave it a try. Continue to use as I believe it helps. I give it chopped up with a bit of wet food as my nugget is picky about the taste. -
Phycox is the best!
From UndisclosedComments about Phycox MAX, 90 Soft ChewsAll I can say is this product works! My baby boy Moose has been taking it for years and will continue to take it for many more to come. When Moose began to have joint inflammation in his back legs our vet recommended Phycox. Thank goodness because it's helped him SO much with his pain and has allowed him to live the life he deserves - a life of fun and comfort! ^_^ If your furbaby is suffering from any kind of hip or joint issues, please try Phycox. It truly helps. It also helps that VetRXDirect continues to show such courteous and reliable service every time I order from them. They're never out of stock, they always ship the product as quickly as possible and Moose LOVES the free homemade doggie treat they always include in the package. Nobody else takes the time to do that except VetRXDirect. It's such a simple, yet sweet and kind gesture. Great pet pharmacy with great products! You can't go wrong ordering from them.-

I use this product long term & would recommend it to others.
From UndisclosedComments about PhycoxMy vet recommended Phycox originally for our dog who had hip dysplasia, to help him feel more comfortable. After he passed, I had Phycox left and asked if it was okay to give it to our younger, healthy dog just to help his joints generally. I was told that many people use Phycox as a maintenance product so have been using it for quite some time. Our old dog seemed to benefit from it, and our young dog, who is 5 years old now, is very active and has had no joint problems. I think that Phycox is an excellent product and is safer for dogs than some of the harsher prescription drugs available for joint pain. -
I will buy again

Phycox
From Round Rock, TX, USAComments about PhycoxRosco, my black lab, is almost 13 years old. He is in excellent health except for his joint stiffness. I started giving him 2 phycox per day, 3 years ago and has been able to go on our 2 mile walks every day. Recently, my granddaughter took care of him for a week, but did not give him his phycox. When I returned it was very difficult for Rosco to get up and down, I immediately started him on 4 phycox per day for 1 week, He is back to his normal self and taking 2 phycox per day. I'm very thankful the phycox keeps him pain free! -
Great for joints!
From Arizona, USAComments about PhycoxAfter about 2 months on Phycox, I noticed a dramatic difference in my 8 year old Pitt's hips. She can now jump up on the bed where she couldn't do that before. She is also more active and plays more with her 2 year old lab mix brother. -

Phycox chews work great!
From Crossville, TNComments about PhycoxWe have a large German Shepherd, 10 years old, who is in better shape and more active now than he was years ago, thanks to Phycox Chews. We started him on them when he was not moving well, and in pain at times. A number of people told me they had incredible results with similar problems by giving their dogs the chews. They were right! At least for us, they work wonderfully. I am so grateful for them, and absolutely recommend them to anyone who's animal is having joint or bone issues. -
Love 'em
From New York, NY, USAComments about PhycoxMy dog loves these. She thinks they are treats and I have noticed and increase mobility in her when she wakes up. I give her 1x day which was better than the 4x day for another brand I was giving before.

My dog has diabetes and is on vetsulin 5units twice a day, is phycox safe to give to her. She is 17lbs.?
-
Phycox is safe for diabetic dogs. Phycox contains sucrose, which is a form of sugar. If your dog is currently stable on their vetsulin regimen than the amount of insulin given may need to be increased to account for the added sugar in the supplement. Please contact your dog's veterinarian before starting, stopping, or changing any of your dog's medications or supplements.

Hi I have a 250 pound English mastiff and have been switching over slowly off of medacam and just onto the soft chews. The dosage over 100 pounds is 4-5 chews and I give him 5. I am noticing very soft piles almost diarrhea, can it cause a bit of that??
-
Thank you for answering.. His stool has already became normal again, but I just want to make sure that since he is 250 pounds and I will be decreasing the chews to 2.5 is this going to be enough for a dog of his size? He has severe knee joint trouble and I have moved him from medicam very slowly over to phycox max and he is doing very well on 5 chews. But it's been 6 weeks and time to drop down to his maintenance dose, and I am worried size vs amount. Thank you.
Community Answer -
Phycox is a blend of medications intended to help with joint pain. Ingredients in this medication, such as glucosamine, have been associated with soft stools. This could also be a food allergy/intolerance to a component of the medication. Recommended initial dose for dogs greater than 100 lbs. is 5 chews daily for 4-6 weeks. It is then recommended to decrease to 2 ½ chews thereafter. Decreasing the dose may be an option. If diarrhea becomes severe or persistent, it would be recommended to discuss with your dog’s veterinarian to determine if there is another underlying cause. Thank you, VetRxDirect

My 4 year old boxer 68lbs. is on Novox 100mg. She had tightrope surgery last year and her meniscus removed. She currently is taking the Novox 1 per day in halves am pm, along with the phycox 2 per day. Does she need the Novox daily??
-
Novox (carprofen brand) is a NSAID (no n-steroidal anti-inflammatory) drug used to decrease inflammation associated with many conditions like post-surgery and arthritic pain. Your veterinarian has your dog on this medication to reduce pain and swelling. The duration of therapy for taking Novox depends on many factors and is best determined by your veterinarian. Please follow up with your veterinarian for further advice specific to your pet’s condition. Thank you, VetRxDirect
