Life Saver
My cat takes four pills, twice a day. Before I found this product it took a very long time to get him to open his mouth while simultaneously forcing each pill towards the back of his throat. I was worried that forcing all that on him might damage his trust in me. One day he bit me badly and I knew something had to change. I have been dealing with VetRxDirect for a while and have always had good experiences, so I searched their site and found this amazing tool. I still have to squeeze the corners of his mouth to get him to open, and tilt his head back, but then all I do is put the piller at the back of his throat, hit the plunger, and it's done. Every vet's office should carry these to help people pill their pets.

Don't even try it, save yourself the headache
I picked this product because giving my cat medicine that he needs every day is a lot harder than it needs to be, so I said, hey, let me try this out. Not only did it arrive late, but my first time using it (mind you, not a large pill, a regular sized gabapentin dissolvable capsule) and wouldn't you guess it, it gets stuck in the tube. Now money and medicine has been wasted, because that little sucker would not come out no matter what I tried. Same your time, get something else.

Great tool for pilling pets
From UndisclosedComments about Pet Piller Soft TipWorks great, quick and efficient for when I have to pull my cat Francesca since she's been diagnosed with kidney disease and is on a couple of different medications & supplements. So easy to use that your pet won't even realize you just pilled them. Highly recommend! -
< Makes giving a cat a pill easily
From UndisclosedComments about Pet Piller Soft TipI picked this product so my cat sitter can pill my cat. It works fine. -
NIGHTMARE!
From Long Beach, CaComments about Pet PillerOther pet pillers are so much better than this one. I have to try so many times to get the capsule in Happy's throat nice and easy. With the other ones I can get the capsule in the first try. Happy hates this thing and it makes giving him his medicine so much harder and so much more stressful than other per pillers. I bought 7 of these terrible things. They're ridiculously long too. I rarely give negative reviews like this, so disappointing. UGH! . -
Super happy
From UndisclosedComments about Pet Piller Soft TipIt's perfect for my cat who needs multiple pills a day. The tip is a soft rubber and won't scratch their mouths when they wiggle. -
Looks fine. Didn't work for tiny pill.
From UndisclosedComments about Pet Piller Soft TipI'm sure it would work fine but the pills my cat needs are so tiny, they fall through. It's a quarter of a 1/4 inch pill. Crazy. -
It helps get his meds in faster w/o getting bit!🤣🐾
From UndisclosedComments about Pet Piller Soft TipIt was vet recommended. -
THE BEST PILLER AVAILABLE
From UndisclosedComments about Pet Piller Soft TipThis piller is the best one found for giving our cat his twice a day capsules for treatment of his Valley Fever. As you can see in his photo he even lost an eye to this rare fungal disease. We have tried other similar products, but this specific one, with the dark red soft tip is the absolute best! This cat barely even notices we have given him his medication when we use this piller. -
A must have for pets requiring regular medication.
From UndisclosedComments about Pet Piller Soft TipI wanted this particular pill popper because I had borrowed my sister's and it worked so well. My poor cat has to take a pill everyday which becomes more and more difficult as now he sees me coming. I couldn't do it without this. I looked online and saw that this was everyone's favorite even tho there are fancier models. I have been super happy with my purchase!

Q & A

I have a pill shooter that is fine for round meds but cannot hold the length of even a small capsule. Will this hold one that's about 3/8 inch long??
-
The pet piller is able to properly dispense a size 4 capsule, which is approximately ½” in length. In that case, it can be assumed that a ⅜” capsule should work as well with this product.

Are replacement tips available for pet pillers??

The product comes as one complete set, unfortunately the tips are not available for purchase separately.

Hi. I have a tiny Amlodipine pill that I have to quarter for my cat. They shatter & it's shards I end up with. Would i be able to tuck tiny pill pieces into this??
-
It is nearly impossible to get an accurate dose when tablets are quartered. You may use the pet piller to administer this medication. Please consult with your cat's veterinarian about the various options you have to get your cat his/her prescribed dose.
Verified Answer -
Buy #3 gel caps and put the shards into the capsule. The #3 size capsules fit well into the pillers and are not too big for a cat.

Do these still have the red tip? I liked those, but now most places carry one with a more rigid blue tip. Also, the blue tip plunger is not smooth when pushed.?
-
The pet piller products that we provide come from multiple vendors. We cannot guarantee what color will be provided when an order is placed.

The length is probably the length of a pencil and the tip is dark red. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Can the pet piller hols a large pill the size of a nickle??
-
Caprice, The pet piller we care is intended for use with pills for dogs and cats, which are usually much smaller than a nickle. We don't believe this would be a viable option. Thank you, VetRxDirect
