Paws-itive experience with these supplements!
Our vet first started Sofie on these supplements for skin irritation, fur falling out and skin flaking due to allergies. After one month on these supplements, I noticed her fur growing back in, the skin flaking went away, not to mention how soft and shiny her fur looks and feels! We are keeping Sofie on these supplements at the recommendation of her vet. Extra bonus I've noticed, I'm not hearing the popping from her knee that I had been (luxating patella) and she runs around like a younger pup. This review is submitted as part of a sweepstakes entry and I am personally leery of such reviews, but this is my true and positive experience with these supplements! Highly recommend!!

BEWARE- Contraindicated w/ some canine diseases- diabetes +
I had no idea giving this could be hurting my dog.....until I did my research and showed my vet. He agreed completely and I stopped giving to my newly diagnosed diabetic dog. It is contraindicated for insulin absorption. Please do your research if your dog has any underlying diseases or issues.

A few years ago arthritis ended that happy ritual. She began taking glucosamine, with little improvement after a couple months.. But within 2 weeks of starting on O3 Omega she was back to her paws-on-the-counter greeting, and continues this at almost 11 years old. I do, however, have to dip the capsule in something tasty or else she spits it out. -

How do you get rid of the fishy breath? I have only given my small dog 2 capsules in the last two days and he have very fishy breath.?

Try giving the dog food immediately before and immediately after giving him the capsules. This should both increase how much of the omega 3s your dog absorbs into his system and will hopefully minimize fishy breath. If giving it to him this way doesn't help with the fishy breath, using a flavored liquid formulation may help resolve the problem. Your pet's veterinarian may also have recommendations.

What weight is meant by small, medium and large for the 03 Omega capsules? My vet gave me the pump version of 03 Omega, which recommends 1/2 pump for an 8-19 lb. dog. Does that mean my 11 3/4 lb dog is small? It is very hard to be precise, and I am a 'noodge', so it galls me no end to be imprecise!?

The O3 Omega capsules are sized based on the weight of the animal. Small for up to 30lbs, Medium for 31-60lbs, Large 61-81+ lbs. The O3 Clip Tips can be broken and squeezed in food, and are also sized by weight. Small is 5-60lbs and Large is 30-90+ lbs. The liquid is for animals 8-100 lbs. Each of these products has the recommended dosage on the label for each of the weight categories. If you have any additional questions on dosing, we recommend you consult your veterinarian.
