Recommended by our Veterinarian and it works!!
Our dog's ears used to hurt so bad that he would cry. The vet recommended this product to us. We've used it for years and nothing else works like this. It's used weekly to keep the ears clean and now we have a happy dog! :-)

Extremely obnoxious scent
I bought this product from my vet, after running out of the previous, very effective product I used to clean my dogs ears. Apparently, my vet is not selling the previous product I used. I've used it once, and would never open the bottle again, let alone use it. The smell is OVERWHELMING. It made me want to leave the house immediately. It's like the worst perfume smell you can imagine on steroids. Recently told my vet about it. He recommended another brand, which is very expensive, and only available through a vet. I found the original brand I used in the past that I like, Otirinse ear cleaner online, & will buy it.

The rescue I got her from back in 2017 recommended it and I've been using it since. Make sure to get the Ultra, that's medicated. The regular Malacetic is only a cleaner.-

Can I use it every day for a cat?

Malacetic Ultra Otic Cleanser is used for cleaning and drying of cat ears that are inflamed due to bacteria or fungi. Either under-cleaning or over-cleaning may lead to undesirable effects. Not using it often enough would not adequately clean the ear. Using it too much could exfoliate (peeling of the skin) the ear which can lead to irritations. It is recommended that you speak with your veterinarian who can recommend proper directions for use with your cat.

This product sounds like it might possibly be able to be used on an itchy, yeast/bacterial bothersome area on the skin of the animal. Could I possibly use it for the dual purpose of ears and occasionally for small irritated areas on the skin? Of course I would not use it around the mouth, eyes or private areas as this could be unsafe.?
