What is the main ingredient and how does it work? Does it have to be given daily or only when an anxiety producing event is about to happen??
-
Anxiety TFLN drops is a homeopathic remedy. That means it uses natural substances used in extremely low doses to help the body heal itself. There are many active ingredients that help with some sort of anxiety. Borax is the dominant remedy used in this product for fear of gunshots or any sudden noise causing startling. Chamomilla helps with sensitivity to wind and promotes a sense of calm. Rhododendron helps with noise from fireworks or general storms. Theridion helps with noise induced tremors in the environment or sudden movements. It does not have to be given daily. The dosing on the package label states that a full dose (which is based off of the weight of your pet) may be given every 15 minutes for up to 4 doses if needed, before or during storms or fireworks. The medication may be dosed directly into the mouth, on food, or in water. If you are having concerns about your pet’s anxiety it is a good idea to follow up with a veterinarian.
