Excellent product. Many uses for your fur baby.
My husband and I have 5 rescues, our oldest was recently diagnosed with renal failure and our youngest has a very sensitive stomach. We mix a little into soft food on a regular basis. It smells just like chicken bouillon and I'm guessing that is what entices my oldest to eat (for her we use it to get her to eat more do she gets enough calories). It's also solved a lot of the sensitive stomach issues for our youngest. We don't use a whole packet per day, just a little sprinkle in with some soft food or on top of some very low sodium tuna (Starkist brand - about 2 tablespoons). Our vet was kind enough to let us sample it at first, now we buy it by the box.

Didn't do much for my cat
My kitten of 6 month has been having diarrhea ever since I got him, my vet suggests that the food he was on was too rich and he has a very sensitive tummy. So we tried switching his food to a vet recommended special diet and added fortiflora to his food everyday. He didn't seem to improve much, his diarrhea was still runny its been 2 weeks. The first thing in the ingredients is animal digest, I understand it's probably there to promote eating, but I'm not sure if that's helping with my kitten who's suppose to be on a very strict diet. One thing that baffled me was that this only had one strain of bacteria, and there was no guaranteed analysis of how much bacteria culture is in each pouch. I'm not giving this product a negative review solely because it didn't help my cat, there might be other underlying problems, but I'm just very disappointed that a product suggested by a vet was this low of quality. Now I won't know if probiotics is not helping because my cat has some other health problem or if it's because there's not enough bacteria culture in fortiflora (since I have no idea how much there is) and not enough variety.

Genuinely Improved Quality of Life for My Anxious Pet
From Fairbanks, AKComments about FortiFlora Probiotic for CatsAfter several months of daily use, I never want my girl to go without this again. She's always been a very high-strung, anxious, and easily over-stimulated dog, and I've tried literally dozens of products over the years to try and help her. This is the only one that's had a consistent, noticeable effect on her behavior. Before starting on calming care, she was such a handful that I would often joke about her ruining my life. She barked at every tiny noise, followed me around the house like an overzealous bodyguard, and though she's always loved other dogs, I had to be incredibly careful about allowing her to play with them, because she would get carried away and overstimulated until regular play escalated into a fight. Human visitors coming to our house caused her to become so hysterically excited that I'd have to sit and pet her continually for as long as they stayed, because if I stopped, she'd spend the duration of their visit frantically trying to climb onto their lap, licking and nibbling at their faces and occasionally punching them in the gut with her giant puppy feet. After about two weeks of giving her Calming Care, I began to see a gradual, but noticeable reduction in these behaviors. Within two months she was practically a normal dog. Don't get me wrong, she's still my crazy, hyper, silly girl, but the nervous energy that used to constantly pour off of her is largely gone, and she's happier for it. The incessant barking has finally ceased, she plays nicely with other dogs, and behaves (mostly) appropriately when people come over. She doesn't hyperventilate during car rides or try to charge through my front window every time someone walks by my house. The bottom line? This will not magically turn a hyper, high-energy dog into a couch potato, but if your pet is displaying anxious, unsettled behaviors, it should help them feel better. It's worked wonderfully for my dog, and I absolutely recommend trying it. -
Big fan of VetRxDirect
From UndisclosedComments about FortiFlora Probiotic for CatsThis product really is helpful for stopping diarrhea in my cat, and because my vet has advised that the next step in treatment is possibly a steroid, which I would like to avoid for as long as possible, I am glad to have found a product that is effective. And at a such a reasonable price, with a shipping break at that! from VetRxDirect. Wonderful company, can't say enough about them. Glad I found them. -

Some cats are crazy for the flavor, but mine are indifferent
From undisclosedComments about FortiFlora Probiotic for CatsMy cats were crazy about this at first, but soon became indifferent. I bought it as an appetite stimulant for kidney disease cats. My sisters two heathy cats love it sprinkled on their dinner. -
I would absolutely continue to buy ths product!
From undisclosedComments about FortiFlora Probiotic for CatsMy vet suggested that I use Fortiflora around 6 years ago, after my girl had a serious bout of colitis. I have given Honey one packet per day and it really does keep her bowels in good working order.......especially more important now since she just had her twelfth birthday and is a pretty big girl. Would I stop using it? No, I really don't want to take the chance of her gut getting out of whack again......I trust this product and feel that it has helped maintain good gastrointestinal health. -
Been using this for a while
From Los Angeles, CAComments about FortiFlora Probiotic for CatsWe've been using this along with some other medications to keep my dog's IBD at bay. Seems to be helping and I am thankful because she was very sick for a long time. -

Great Stuff!
From NCComments about FortiFlora Probiotic for CatsWe have 9 cats and most of our cats won't eat their food without probiotics on it. We bought it originally for our cat who has chronic URI's and is on antibiotics all the time. Probiotics help to provide the good bacteria in her gut that the antibiotics can kill off and keep her stomach and intestines healthy while at the same time trying to keep her upper respiratory healthy too. Once my other cats got a taste of the probiotics they wanted to have it on their moist meal too! -
I will always use this product for my dogs.
From Lester, Pa.Comments about FortiFlora Probiotic for CatsAge can bring on intestinal changes. Fortiflora seems to be working well for my 12 yr. old mix dog . We can all use probiotics. Additional fiber also helps. -

Exactly the same as provided by the vet, only cheaper
From Kirkwood, MOComments about FortiFlora Probiotic for CatsForti-Flora for dogs is the same stuff I used to purchase from the vet, same brand, same packaging, same everything, except price. I buy a 6-month supply at a time and it is about 2/3 the price the vet sells it for. I'm not cheap, but this stuff costs about the same as my dog's food, which means the price of feeding her is almost double. Any price break is appreciated.
