Extremely happy with this product. Duel tick killer
From Bridgewater, MAComments about Effitix Plus for DogsThis is so far the best product I have used. It contain the active ingredient in Frontline and the active ingredient permethrin which is in advatage I believe. Both of the medications kill ticks, which is great. Permethrin will even repel, fleas, ticks, mosquitoes and biting flies. I really think this is the best product on the market by far. I will continue to use it. -
Switched to Effitix; Not Going Back
From undisclosedComments about Effitix Plus for DogsHaving used other products similar to Effitix, and not getting desired results, I decided to try Effitix. Have been using it for 1-1/2 years and so far it's still working great. We live in the South where fleas, ticks, mosquitoes and biting flies are in abundance. Our cur mix loves to roam the woods and has yet to have fleas. This product is great at repelling all of the insects listed above. It was a great price and received it quickly. -
I would buy again

Q & A

Do I need to wait to apply Effitix after giving my dog her Sentinel heartworm medicine??
-
Effitix is a topical parasite treatment for dogs. The active ingredients in Effitix (fipronil, pyriproxyfen, and permethrin) remain on the skin surface and in the hair follicles and glands. Over the course of several weeks, your dog’s natural oils will aid in spreading out the medication from the application site all over the skin on the body. These active ingredients are minimally absorbed, which should not interfere with the active ingredients in Sentinel. Effitix and Sentinel can be used together, however, please consult with your veterinarian regarding these medications for your dog as the directions of use may be different based on your dog’s condition and needs.

On Effitex Plus my dog has had 3 ticks,1 was engorged but not attached,2 were attached but removed before they fed.Is this normal when on preventative medication?>?
-
Effitix Plus is labeled to kill and repel all stages of Brown dog ticks, American dog ticks, Lone Star ticks, and Deer ticks. Effitix kills ticks for up to one month and should be applied monthly where tick control is consistently needed. To ensure efficacy of the product, the manufacturer states that dogs should not be bathed within the first 24 hours after the product has been applied. Also, ensure that Effitix is not applied superficially on dog’s hair and the applicator tip is placed directly against exposed skin. The entire contents of the applicator tube must be deposited at the time of application. Since Effitix Plus is dosed based on the weight of the dog, you may consider asking your veterinarian for an updated weight check on your dog. Your veterinarian can also determine if this product is the best choice for the type of parasites in your area.
