why has it been discontinued. I was just told this would be a good natural product.?

Marcia, Meridian Animal Health did not provide a reason for the discontinuation, we currently have the topical applicators for cats and kittens, but don't have any more of the spray. There are other natural flea and tick repellents, you may want to talk to your pet's veterinarian about Vetri-Repel, another flea and tick repellent made by Vetri-Science. Marcia, The Ectopamine Natural Flea, Tick, and Mosquito Topical labelling does not list specifically whether it covers flea larvae and eggs. In general, if products are effective against larvae and/or eggs, the labelling will indicate that. As the manufacturer has discontinued production of the spray and the topical, they no longer provide additional information for them. Thank you, VetRxDirect

i can't read the directions on the bottle. do i spray all over her coat - it is ok if she licks where she was sprayed??

Debbie, The directions for applying the ectopamine spray are as follows: Spray your pet from a distance of 8 to 12 inches. Start spraying at your pet's tail and make sure to cover the underbelly, tail, and legs. Fluff hair against the lay to allow the spray to penetrate to the skin. Do no spray in the pet's face (especially mouth, nose, eyes) or the genitalia. Do not saturate the coat. Spray may be applied indoors or outdoors. Wash your hands with soap and water after application. The spray should be applied every 4 weeks, but can be applied more often if needed. The precautionary information for Ectopamine is: Keep this product out of reach of children and animals. Do not use or store in or near open flame or heat. Ectopamine is intended for use on cats and dogs only. Not for horses or other animals. Not for humans. For external use only. Do not bathe your pet for 24 hours following application. Do not allow cats to groom each other following application. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. If contact occurs, wash with soap and water. If skin sensitivity occurs, bathe your pet with soap and water. Consult your veterinarian for ongoing symptoms. Do not use Ectopamine in animals with a known allergy to it or to similar products. Ingestion may cause stomach distress, nausea and vomiting, so care should be taken to prevent her from licking the product off of her coat. Thank you, VetRxDirect
