Dogs and cats have a naturally balanced layer on their skin, called the hydrolipidic film, which keeps their skin and coat healthy and hydrated. If that protective layer becomes dry, irritated, or infected, your pet may suffer from dandruff, scaly skin, and other skin disorders. Dermoscent Essential 6 supports the hydrolipidic film and restores optimal skin hydration. This all-natural blend of essential fatty acids and essential oils is applied directly to the skin for fast, effective absorption. Dermoscent contains Omega 6 and Omega 3 fatty acids, Vitamin E, as well as essential oils including camphor, cedar, lavender, rosemary, and grain oils. Regular treatment with Dermoscent improves your pet’s skin and coat condition, helps defend against skin infections, and the oil’s fresh scent makes your pet smell great, too! Dermoscent comes in no mess, spot-on pipettes for fast, easy application.
Directions: Spread the animal’s fur at the base of the neck, in between the shoulder blades. Apply the entire pipette onto the skin, brushing out the coat 24 hours after application. Apply 1 pipette every week for 2 months and then 1 pipette every 2 weeks. Do not bathe the animal 2 days before/after the application.

Dermoscent
I just received this item about 10 days ago. I have a 5 year old cat who has Miliary Dermatitis. I have been working with a Vet Dermatologist to try to diagnose and manage his symptoms. The major symptom has been little bumps like millet (hence the name), which usually start around his head and ear area, and neck and then proceed to travel to the rest of his body and sometimes proceed to scab. He is on other medications, but I started applying the Dermoscent to the areas when they start, and I am amazed! They are stopping in their tracks! I carefully rub the areas the next day and the little tufts of scab/hair come right out. His coat is silky soft and I think I have found a great product to refer to the Dermatologist who is handling his case. I would recommend this even just for a healthy soft skin coat. I have to say in my case it is way more important, as it is the first thing that has worked!

Not for everything
This maybe a good product, but it didn't help my pets scratching and biting his paws. He needed a antihistamine.

Comments about Dermoscent Essential 6 Spot-On for Large Dogs, 45-90 Pounds, 4 Tubes
My German Shepherd has hypothyroidism and also an allergy to fleas, so she lost several patches of hair around her body before we figured out her issues. We purchased this oil to help sooth the skin and encourage hair growth. You're supposed to put the oil between the shoulder blades, and the skin and hair around that area got better, but we had to start putting the oil down lower on her hips and tail to help those areas too.

Helped my dog

My big things grab me and squeeze this stuff on my neck where I cannot groom it off. How degrading. They keep on saying how richand fluffy and thick my coat is. Of course it is. I am a resplendent cat. I am so misunderstood. Send threats paease! 5 claws up.

I will be buying this product again.

My dog has severe skin allergies and this product my vet recommended in place of chlorahexidine based shampoo because I'm allergic to chlorahexidine. It has made a difference in the appearance of my dogs affected skin and it slowly is improving with each use of the product.
I have these products on autoship.

I find it odd that the full ingredient list is not revealed here. when you go to the manufacturer website, its not revealed there either. only indicates soybean oil and cajeputi. 2 ingredients? but the few ingredients above indicate camphor. none of those items belong on a dogs nose.
Good product

I bought this based on an article I read by a dermatologist who recommended this for allergies. I use this in conjunction with Zyrtec, apoquel and a strict diet for my dog with allergies. I have only given 3/8 applications but I have seen an improvement! His fur is softer. He still has an allergic reaction at times but recovers quickly. He is starting to grow some hair back. My daughter doesn't like the smell but it reminds me of sandalwood and I don't think it's bad. I'm hoping that this will help his allergies.
Saved my dogs fur!

My dog was diagnosed with Sebaceous Adenoma last summer. He was loosing his fur and hardly had any left on his legs and underbelly. After trying fish and vitamin A everyday, his Vet recommended this. I followed the directions on the box and in a couple of months saw a difference. I have kept him on it giving one dose every other week for maintenance and his fur is back, shiney and healthy.
Great product!

Gives my dogs' coats awesome condition! Skin is hydrated and hair is so shiney. No more flakey, dry itchy skin. Love the slight fragrance that helps keep down the "doggie" smell. Worth every penny!
