- Dermoscent Essential Skin Care Products help clean and support the skin of your cat or dog, with special concern for this natural lipid skin barrier.

How do you use Dermoscent Skin Care Products?
- Use as directed by your veterinarian.
Dermoscent Essential 6 Spot-On
- Manufacturer's suggested use: Spread the animal’s fur at the base of the neck, in between the shoulder blades. Apply the entire pipette onto the skin, brushing out the coat 24 hours after application. Apply 1 pipette every week for 2 months and then 1 pipette every 2 weeks. Do not bathe the animal 2 days before/after the application.
Dermoscent Essential Mousse
- Manufacturer's suggested use: Shake before use. Fill the palm of the hand with foam or apply it directly on the coat of the animal. Make sure that the area is well soaked by the product and then let it penetrate by gently massaging it in, preferably against the direction of hair growth, to achieve a better cleansing of the skin. Avoid the eyes and the nose. Remove dirt with the help of a towel. Allow to dry and then brush.
Dermoscent Bio Balm
- Apply to exposed dry, rough, and cracked skin areas including the paw pads, nose, and elbows daily or before outings.

Dermoscent
I just received this item about 10 days ago. I have a 5 year old cat who has Miliary Dermatitis. I have been working with a Vet Dermatologist to try to diagnose and manage his symptoms. The major symptom has been little bumps like millet (hence the name), which usually start around his head and ear area, and neck and then proceed to travel to the rest of his body and sometimes proceed to scab. He is on other medications, but I started applying the Dermoscent to the areas when they start, and I am amazed! They are stopping in their tracks! I carefully rub the areas the next day and the little tufts of scab/hair come right out. His coat is silky soft and I think I have found a great product to refer to the Dermatologist who is handling his case. I would recommend this even just for a healthy soft skin coat. I have to say in my case it is way more important, as it is the first thing that has worked!

Not for everything
This maybe a good product, but it didn't help my pets scratching and biting his paws. He needed a antihistamine.

Worth it?
From UndisclosedComments about Dermoscent Bio Balm, 50mLI picked this product because it was suggested by my veterinary. It keeps my dog's nose moist, smells good, and it is the only thing that works. -
Please help your itchy pet
From NJComments about DermoscentThis product amazed me!! Let's just say my cat has been SUFFERING for a couple years now! I'm so sad and embarrassed to say that but after countless vet visits she found no relief. We tried antihistamines, a very long food trial to see if it was a food allergy, steroids and two other meds and absolutely nothing worked. Her personality was totally different (she hid all the time and was completely miserable and antisocial). After using essential 6 she is wonderful and finally calm and relaxed and not itchy all the time. I felt so bad for her that I couldn't help her. This product completely cured her! She's at peace now and is part of the family again. Spread the word to anyone you know. Any itchy animal should at least try and see if this works for them. I would highly recommend this and I'm sorry my vet didn't recommend it years ago! -

Wonderful!
From UndisclosedComments about Dermoscent Essential 6 Spot-On for Medium Dogs 22-45 Pounds, 4 TubesMy Veterinarian recommended this product for my Frenchie who suffers from environmental allergies that affect her skin and coat. I have been using it for about 8 months now and it works wonders for her. I absolutely recommend it. The smell is a little strong at first, it's a musky clove scent, but it goes away after the first day. I also love that it does not leave her coat grimy and oily , it soaks in wonderfully! -
Dermoscent Essential 6 helped my dog!!
From UndisclosedComments about Dermoscent Essential 6 Spot-On for Large Dogs, 45-90 Pounds, 4 TubesMy youngest Marlin has horrible allergies even to the point of having all 4 feet having MRSA infections. He is all healed but has horribly dry skin. Using just omega-3 fish oil hasn't been enough but I have seen a huge difference after 4 applications of Dermoscent Essential 6!! -
Helped but had to put in several locations
From UndisclosedComments about Dermoscent Essential 6 Spot-On for Large Dogs, 45-90 Pounds, 4 TubesMy German Shepherd has hypothyroidism and also an allergy to fleas, so she lost several patches of hair around her body before we figured out her issues. We purchased this oil to help sooth the skin and encourage hair growth. You're supposed to put the oil between the shoulder blades, and the skin and hair around that area got better, but we had to start putting the oil down lower on her hips and tail to help those areas too. -

From UndisclosedComments about Dermoscent Essential 6 Spot-On for Cats, Box of 4 TubesMy big things grab me and squeeze this stuff on my neck where I cannot groom it off. How degrading. They keep on saying how richand fluffy and thick my coat is. Of course it is. I am a resplendent cat. I am so misunderstood. Send threats paease! 5 claws up. -
I will be buying this product again.
From UndisclosedComments about DermoscentMy dog has severe skin allergies and this product my vet recommended in place of chlorahexidine based shampoo because I'm allergic to chlorahexidine. It has made a difference in the appearance of my dogs affected skin and it slowly is improving with each use of the product. -

Q & A

Did it change the package recently? The one I've been using has Aromacalm on the package.?
-
The manufacturer, Dermoscent, offers a wide variety of products. Here at VetRxDirect, we currently (as of 02/2023) carry the Essential 6 Spot-On (pipettes), Essential Mousse, Bio Balm, PYO Purifying Wipes, PYOspot (pipettes), PYOclean Spray, and PYOclean Shampoo. These products are used to strengthen the skin’s natural barrier, deodorize, and provide hydration and antioxidants. The manufacturer does make a product called Aromacalm, but we currently do not carry it here at VetRxDirect. That product is a collar infused with oils meant to help decrease stress and stress-associated skin disorders.
