my pitbull paws are raw and red and hes licking them if i use this product will it hurt him and will it make him sick if he licks it?

It is recommended that your pet is not allowed to lick or chew at the treated sites for at least 20 to 30 minutes after application. The manufacturer of the product states that normal oral exposure to the product is safe for your pet when used as labeled. If your pet displays symptoms of GI discomfort such as vomiting or diarrhea please discontinue use of the product and contact your veterinarian. I have a 3 week old kitten the vet prescribed this for and it is causing him to drool. He is still eating and drinking fine but the drooling is worrying me. Is this just a side effect??
