Get Rid Of Allergies !
From UndisclosedComments about Allermyl ShampooThis is THE best shampoo for dogs with allergies, and I have tried them all! I always do a double bath and use a rubber pronged scrubber in a circular motion. Great results every time. It should be noted that some dogs can require in addition, an allergy shot every six weeks depending upon the severity. -

Good wormer
From Colorado, USAComments about Allermyl ShampooI have multiple dogs and try to keep them on the same deworming schedule. My vet gave me this for one dog. I was so glad to find that I could get it for the others without bringing them all in for a check. Their coats improved dramatically, weren't dragging themselves, and general energy increased. Great product!

Q & A

I gave my 17 pound Boston Terrier one dose on 3/22 for roundworms. She is now exhibiting the same symptoms again, although I took her to the vet and they said there were no eggs in her stool. Should I redose her??
-
Mega, Virbantel is an over-the-counter medication that is effective in treatment and control of roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworms. Re-treatment may be necessary as determined by laboratory fecal examination or if you dog is in an area where reinfection is likely to occur. In this case, your veterinarian did not receive a positive test, but if symptoms continue you should follow-up with your pet's veterinary clinic. For guidance and usage on Virbantel please contact your veterinarian. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Is this product really, really fragrance free? I have severe allergies and cannot tolerate the shampoo currently used by my vet on my kitty. I would like to buy your product to take with me the next time I have my cat groomed.?
-
Danny, The labeling on Allermyl shampoo indicates that it is dye- and fragrance-free. The intended purpose of the shampoo is to help manage allergic skin conditions on dogs and cats, not necessarily airborne allergens; though it may be beneficial in that respect as well, there is no information provided. If you are interested in the most current ingredient information, the manufacturer, Virbac, can be contacted at (800) 338-3659. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Do I need to have a heart worm check before using this product What worms does it eliminate ?
-
poppyseed, It is most important to know this product is not a treatment or preventative of canine heartworms. Virbantel is an intestinal parasite pet medication for the treatment and control of: - Roundworms (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina) - Hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum, Ancylostoma braziliense, and Uncinaria stenocephala) - Tapeworms (Dipylidium caninum, Taenia pisiformis) Thank you, VetRxDirect

could heart guard and verbantel given within a couple of days of each other cause poisoning or severe liver reaction?
-
Barbara, Virbantel and Heartgard Plus are generally safe and would not cause poisoning separately or together. Both products contain pyrantel, which has a very wide margin of safety. Heartgard also contains ivermectin which is very safe. Virbantel also contains praziquantel which is also very safe. It is always a good idea to separate treatments like these by several days or weeks if possible. Any medicine can cause idiosyncratic (rare) reactions. Ask your pet's veterinarian about other questions regarding these medications. Thank you, VetRxDirect

I thought this med was now an over the counter med why can't I get it.?
-
Michelle, Virbantel is an OTC item and can be ordered without authorization from your pet's veterinarian. Still, it is important to receive consultation from your pet's veterinarian before starting any OTC or prescription pet med. Thank you, VetRxDirect
