Q:Is this shampoo safe for use on a pregnant dog?
A:According to the manufacturer’s information and other sources, benzoyl peroxide, the active ingredient in Pyoben shampoo, does not appear to be unsafe for use in pregnant dogs. However, please consult your veterinarian regarding the use of any new medication in your pregnant dog.
Q:Is there an equivalent where we won't have to get a prescription from a vet? We are on a very fixed budget as we are senior citizens, but love our pets very much.
A:There are several shampoos that contains benzoyl peroxide, which is the active ingredient in Pyoben, however, there may be a reason that your pet’s veterinarian is recommending one shampoo over another and we always recommend following the veterinarian’s advice, to ensure your pets are getting the appropriate care.

Comments about Virbac Pyoben:
My two cocker spaniels have always had skin conditions. I need to bathe them twice a week just to stay on top of their condition, I've been using this product for 1 1/2 years on both of my cockers, it does a beautiful job. Tried many other products, nothing comes close to solving the problem.
