Mupirocin for Dogs

Your veterinarian may prescribe Mupirocin if your dog is suffering from painful, uncomfortable hot spots,  also known as “pyoderma.” This effective, soothing antibiotic ointment is formulated to treat a range of bacterial skin infections.

  • Effectively treats pyoderma (hot spots) and other bacterial skin infections
  • Slows the growth of bacteria
  • Broad-spectrum antibiotic
  • Helps relieve itchy, painful skin lesions

When your dog has a bacterial skin infection, you want to relieve the discomfort and stop the infection in its tracks.  Prescription Mupirocin ointment does both. This broad-spectrum topical antibiotic is used to treat bacterial infections of the skin including those infections caused by susceptible strains of Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus intermedius. Prescription Mupirocin stops the bacteria from growing while soothing existing hot spots and infected areas.
