  • Q:

Since so many people need syringes for oral use with their pets for everyday things that don't involve the vet, why can't there be a non- presecription category for these pet owners?  I can't find 1 cc syringes locally or I'd buy them here.

    • A:

Unfortunately, some state require prescriptions for syringes because they are sometimes used to attach to needles. Because we are licensed in all states, we have to comply to all of the pharmacy laws in each state.

  • Q:

I need to orally give 1/2 teaspoon to my dog.  I have been using syringes marked 3ml.  Which of yours should I purchase, and do I need a RX from my vet?  This is to dispense pet-tinic. Thank you

      Vivels,

You would want the 3mL syringe that we carry as well. This does require a prescription from a veterinarian.

  • Q:

The picture for this product is terrible. It shows six different tips of syringes. I am looking for a oral syringe (i.e. not for needles and has a bit of a tip) for administering medicines. Exactly what type of tipped syringe are you selling?
    Asked on 2/6/2014 by Nickname

    1 answer

    • A:

The monoject syringes are syringes designed for use with the monoject needles, however they are commonly used as oral syringes as well. The size of the tip on each varies a little bit with the size of the syringe, and we are working and getting a better image available.

These do require a prescription, which can be obtained directly from the veterinarian once an order is placed, or the veterinarian may issue you a written prescription which you can then mail in to us.

      Thank you,

  • Q:

How many syringes come when I order 1 of these items at $0.32
Asked on 12/25/2013 by bunnywabbit1283 from Addison, Illinois 60101

    • A:

These syringes are sold individually, so that you may order the quantity that you need. When you order one 6cc syringe at $0.32, you will receive one syringe, after we receive veterinary approval.

  • Q:

why do I need a prescription for no needle syringes? I am dosing imported monitors with panacur an over the counter medication.
    Asked on 8/6/2013 by Phillip

    1 answer

    • A:

      Phillip,

Most often, syringes are dispensed with needles and various medications or without a needle to dose liquid antibiotics. Therefore, we have syringes marked as prescription items so we can make veterinarians aware that we will be including the syringes with prescription medications.

Syringes without needles can be picked up at any community pharmacy or from your veterinarian.

      Thank you,
