Excellent product. Many uses for your fur baby.
My husband and I have 5 rescues, our oldest was recently diagnosed with renal failure and our youngest has a very sensitive stomach. We mix a little into soft food on a regular basis. It smells just like chicken bouillon and I'm guessing that is what entices my oldest to eat (for her we use it to get her to eat more do she gets enough calories). It's also solved a lot of the sensitive stomach issues for our youngest. We don't use a whole packet per day, just a little sprinkle in with some soft food or on top of some very low sodium tuna (Starkist brand - about 2 tablespoons). Our vet was kind enough to let us sample it at first, now we buy it by the box.

MIRACLE POWDER
I was at my witts end until my vet suggested this to me after a 3rd visit with my 3 legged fluffa - who happens to be a maine coon cat with long hair. Due to his hind leg being gone he has trouble burying his stuff. He had had loose stools ever since i found him which was getting worse. Within 2 to 3 feedings his stools returned to normal. This was such a god send- trying to clean his bottom and furr was very unpleasant. It has no smell and is much less stressful on the pet than trying to get a pill down. Highly suggest this.

Great for Digestion!
From Raleigh, NCComments about FortiFlora Probiotic for CatsI believe this has really helped my pets with digestive problems. I started using it with my sheltie who had digestive issues her whole life. I use it now on my two papillons to prevent intestinal upsets. This was recommended by my vet and it works. This is not inexpensive, so I sometimes give every other day! -
Excellent product
From Aliquippa, Pa.Comments about FortiFlora Probiotic for CatsMy 2 yr. old dog always seemed to have looser bowels, and this seems to help that, and my older dog started licking her butt constantly and them licking the spot where she had laid. I was really starting to worry, so I started her on it too, and guess what, it really worked on her and she doesn't do it anymore. Thank goodness! It worked on her right away.

Can I give this to a litter of 5 week old puppies that have diarrhea. They have been diagnosed with round worms. They have been de wormed. But still have diarrhea. If so how much per 5 pound pup?
-
The manufacturer does not provide any specific instructions for using this product in young puppies with low body weights. In general, probiotics have been used successfully to treat diarrhea. However, product selection, dosing, and directions can differ. It is recommended that you consult with your veterinarian before using a probiotic product for your puppies.

My kitten got into the box... Can they overdose??
-
FortiFlora is a probiotic and contains no active medications, so your cat will not overdose. According to the manufacturer, the primary concern would be your cat ingesting the packaging materials (e.g. box, tape). If packaging materials were ingested, the manufacturer recommends to continue feeding your pet normally and observe them to ensure no intestinal blockage of the packaging materials. Speak to your veterinarian with further concerns.
