Chlorhexidine 4% Shampoo + PS for Dogs and Cats
Chlorhexidine 4% shampoo is commonly used to prevent the growth of disease-causing microorganisms while maintaining the skin’s moisture and soothing skin irritations. The shampoo contains phytosphingosine which helps to restore the skin and can be used for long-term management of skin conditions.
How to use chlorhexidine shampoo:
Always shake the bottle well before use. Wet your pet’s hair with warm water and apply a sufficient amount of shampoo to make a rich lather. Massage the shampoo into the hair well. Allow the shampoo to remain on the hair for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with clean water, and repeat if desired.
It is important to avoid any contact with your eyes or your pet’s eyes. If contact does occur, rinse the eyes affected thoroughly. Contact your pet's veterinarian if the chlorhexidine gets into your pet’s eyes.
Do not use the shampoo in ears of any animal. Keep out of reach of children.
If skin irritation persists or worsens, discontinue the use of the chlorhexidine shampoo and contact your pet's veterinarian.

Hello, my vet last sold me the DOUXO 200ml shampoo for my dog. When I did a search for the general type of shampoo this product came up. Just want to know if this is a comparable product to the original one I was using and essentially it works just as well. Thank you?
-
Both of these products are manufactured by Ceva. Douxo shampoo contains chlorhexidine and climbazole for antifungals, as well as phytosphingosine and Lipacide® C8G for skin barrier function. This shampoo contains chlorhexidine and phytosphingosine. These products are similar but are not the same, and we recommend asking your veterinarian before substituting one for another.

What is the difference between Chlorhexi Derm 4% and your product Chlorhexiding 4% Shampoo + PS? There is no product label available for me to compare.?
-
Both of these products are labeled as medicated, antiseptic cleansers for dogs and cats with skin conditions. They contain different ingredients and are manufactured by different companies. Chlorhexiderm shampoo contains 4% chlorhexidine and is made by Bayer. The other shampoo is made by Ceva and contains 4% chlorhexidine and 0.5% Phytosphingosine salicyloyl, a ceramide to promote skin barrier. Package inserts are not always published by the manufacturer, but we have added this package insert and apologize for any inconvenience.

I can see that the product contains chlorhexidine 4% and phytosphingosine from the picture. However, the hyperlink that should show the percentage of PS in the product is "File 404: Not Found". Is the PS concentration 0.05%, or something else??

The package insert link has been fixed and is available for viewing now. We apologize for any inconvenience. This shampoo contains Chlorhexidine Gluconate 4% and Phytosphingosine salicyloyl 0.05%
