Excellent Product
Once you understand the deworming procedure - give the dewormer over a three-day period then again in three weeks and again in three months, it's easy to switch to a home deworming. This is the exact same Panacur that comes from your vet, but this one is much cheaper. I combined two different dosage amounts for my dogs, and the amounts are easy to look up online. I'm so glad to have found this website.

I bought this to treat tapeworms in my 2 pups. It did not stop the problem. Two days later the tapeworms were back!

IS IT EASY TO SPLIT ONE PACKAGE OF 2 GRS INTO 2 X 1 GR ??

Panacur C is manufactured in 1 gram, 2 gram, and 4 gram packet sizes. Once any of these packets are opened, there is no way to exactly measure out a partial dose. The manufacturer doesn’t provide instructions for using partial packets. Instead, instructions for mixing different packet sizes to achieve the correct dose for a specific dog’s weight are provided on the back of the box. Please consult with your veterinarian to determine if splitting a package of Panacur C 2 gram is an appropriate option for your pet.

The Directions on the 10lbs package says the daily dose is 22,7 mg/lbs. According to this a 10lbs dog would need 220,7 mg a day which equals ~ 2,3 g a day. Why does it say 1g then on the dosing table. I'm confused! My dog weighs 7lbs. I want to know the exact dosage please.?

My 21 pound pug just finished taking 5 doses (5 days) of Panacur C on Saturday. She vomited live worms on Sunday. Does that mean the Panacur C did not work? Does she need another round of treatment? How soon can she take the second round of treatment??

I have a 7 month old sherperd mix puppy that is 37 lbs. His blood test came back negative for heartworms, but the fecal test came back positive for giardi. The vet prescribed the Panacur for 10 days! Isn't this too long? Is there any harm in taking this for 10 days? He was also given the Interceptor (milbemycin oxime) to prevent heatworms. I am concern of over medicating the puppy.?
