I have 3 different sizes of dogs so I prefer to buy the largest vial and dose it down for each animal. What are the dosages for Ovitrol X for various sizes??

Ovitrol X-Tend dosage is based on the weight of the dog and the manufacturer does not recommend splitting vials between dogs. It is recommended to have separate products for each weight category of dog.

Ovitrol X-Tend Spot is used to eliminate fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes. Frontline Plus also eliminates fleas and ticks, and is effective against chewing lice and sarcoptic mites. Active ingredients in Ovitrol X-Tend Spot are etofenprox 30.0% , (S)-methoprene 3.6%, and piperonyl butoxide ether and other related compounds at 5.0%. Frontline Plus contains the active ingredients fipronil 9.8% and (S)-methoprene 8.8%. I currently use K9 Advantix on my dogs and still get a number of ticks despite K9 Advantix's claim to repel ticks. How does Ovitrol compare to K9 Advantix and is it more effective on ticks? Thanks?

Annie, Ovitrol X-Tend contains different active ingredients than K9 Advantix II and you may or may not see better results depending on your pet and your environment. Your dog's veterinarian is the best source for which products are best and how to use them to prevent ticks on your dog. Both K9 Advantix II and Ovitrol X-Tend should NOT be used on cats.
