  • Q:

I think my 85lb. lab  mix ate 1/2 a 15ML tube of EnteDerm today.  Came home from work and found the box torn up, the lid for the applicator and the metal top.  She greeted me at the door like always and was excited to be fed.  Should I be concerned?

  • Q:

I know it's a strange question, but can Entederm be used on humans? My dog was prescribed some for some sores and it sure worked better for her than something like neosporin does for me!
Asked on 6/16/2014 by KiwiAmerican from Portland, OR, United States

    1 answer

    • A:

Entederm ointment contains an antimicrobial, antifungal, and corticosteroid drug and is used for the treatment of skin infections in dogs or cats. This product is manufactured for the use in pets only and shouldn’t be used in humans. We’re happy to hear that this medication worked well for your pet. Let us know if you have any other questions regarding this medication.

  • Q:

do I need a prescription to buy EnteDerm?
Asked on 3/17/2014 by Audie from New York, NY, United States

    1 answer

    • A:

      Audie,

EnteDerm is a prescription medication. Once an order is placed, we can send a fax over to your veterinary clinic requesting approval for the prescription or the veterinarian may choose to issue you a written prescription which you can then mail in to us. EnteDerm, however, is a medication that veterinarians will not typically approve unless the pet has been seen at the clinic recently.

      Thank you,

  • Q:

My vet has issued this for our dog along with Betagen spray, and Mal-A-Ket wipes. They cost me a fortune! It's at least half price at your store. Is this ointment and these other items by prescription only?
    Asked on 11/14/2013 by Kimber

    1 answer

    • A:

      Kimber,

EnteDerm Ointment and Betagen both require a veterinarian's prescription.  We can obtain that approval by either faxing your dog's veterinarian or you can mail us an original written prescription issued to you from the veterinarian once an order is placed.  The Mal-A-Ket wipes do not require a prescription and can be ordered over-the-counter.

      Thank you,

    Asked on 10/6/2013 by ChiaYao

    1 answer

    • A:

      ChiaYao,

Entederm is an ointment with the same active ingredients as several other ointments.  It was not the first ointment with those active ingredients, but Entederm is its brand name.

Comments about VetOne EnteDerm Ointment:

Enterderm works well topically for granulomas, small areas of fungus or bacterial infections, etc. I use Vet Rx Direct for a lot of my critter scripts, and the prices are better, shipping is faster, and script selection is wider; all around Vet Rx Direct seems to be the best online vet pharmacy I've used.
