It contains imidacloprid and pyriproxyfen which quickly, and effectively kills adult fleas and prevents flea eggs and larvae from growing into adults. It works to break the life cycle and prevent infestation, in as little as 2 hours. Combiva is a waterproof formula that provides one full month of protection. For cats 8 weeks or older. Available in 2 sizes.

I have two kittens that are about 3 lbs. They have been treated with Combiva II at their shelter. However, i see the product is for 5 lbs and up. Can i treat my kittens with this product??

This particular brand of flea prevention does not provide safety information on active ingredients for kittens weighing under 4lbs. However, a similar product that also treat fleas would be Advantage II for kitten 2-5 pounds, also offered through VetRxDirect. If it has been a month since the product application at the shelter, it is safe to apply Advantage II. You should talk to your veterinarian about any further questions or concerns.
