The CarePoint Vet syringes are designed with permanent, easy to read markings and a finger grip to ensure accurate dosing and injection control. They also feature an attached, lubricated needle for injection comfort for your pet. Available in 29G 3/10cc with half unit markings, 1/2cc and 1cc. For use with U-40 Insulin only.

I've been using CarePoint Vet U-40 1/2cc insulin syringes. The needles used to be strong but now when I order them at the Vet office the needle is very flimsy and I am worried about it breaking off into my cat's back. Has this product changed at all within the past 6 months? Jamie- Asheville NC?

According to the manufacturer, there has not been any product changes recently. However, insulin needles are available in a variety of gauges, which determine the diameter of the needle. The larger the size of the gauge, the smaller the diameter is. If you use a needle with a smaller diameter, the result would be a needle that is less stiff and easier to bend than the larger size. If you have changed the gauge of the needle that you have been using within the past 6 months, this could result in the difference you are experiencing.
